When I have mod points, I'll read posts with lower scores. I don't typically issue a point to someone who already has 3 or better. Those are the commonly read posts that could very well get to 5. I like to try to find those hidden gems and mod them up for the public to see!

    No.

Also ... what is going to be done about all of the gold and items duped already before they took down the servers?
All you can do is delete obvious dup items. Nothing you can do with the gold. Sure, alot of players will have gotten away with cheating. But its in Blizzards best intererst to have had players cheat than to piss off and lose loyal paying customers

Who needs labels? Are you looking at the keyboard or the screen when you're gaming?
It would be sweet for new games, where you're unfamilar with the keys, to see what all your options are. Once you know the keys, you won't need to look.. unless you just had a brain fart and can't remember which key arms a granade vs flash bomb. I think its a very cool idea.

I don't mean that we should adopt every new technology even if it's only marginally better, but we shouldn't cling to old technology when there are clearly better alternatives out there.

I know someone who just bought a VCR for the first time 2 years ago. To her, it IS new technology. I think the primary reason people hang on to VCR's is because it allows them to record their shows and watch all their old home videos for very little cost. I don't own one anymore personally.. 20. I hope they do become the next Red Hat on New Ubuntu Foundation Announced · · Score: 1

I've never used Ubuntu before, but have heard many good things about it. I hope they do become the next Red Hat. Red Hat used to be THE distro. I was a user since verion 5.2.. but when they did the whole Fedora thing... I was doing nothing but chasing down bugs and installing endless updates and quickly got fed up and went looking elsewhere for a distribute simular to Red Hat.

Installing gentoo sounded too difficult... Wasn't interested in the "old, but stable" philosophy of Debian.. could't find iso's for SUSE at the time...Installed Mandrake and it worked for the most part, but i got annoyed that everytime I rebooted, the windows key on the keyboard stopped working. Heard about Xandros being simple, so I tried that and sure enough, it had by far the best Linux desktop environment i've used to date. Was also impressed that it was only 1 CD, installed in under 20 minutes and pretty much everything was setup as default the way I had spent a good hour or so setting up mandrake as. (firefox as default browser, Thunderbird, OpenOffice, windows short cut keys, etc) ..BUT they put limitations on the CD burner (2X max? WTF?!?) in the free version. I don't think anyone should HAVE to pay $90 for linux no matter how well setup it is. I'll be more than happy to donate time and/or money if I like the distro.

so.. I hope Ubuntu becomes big. I hope they become the next Red Hat.. be the #1 player in linux desktop and server market and make lots of money... but please, please, please...don't follow in Red Hats footsteps and forget who got you there... users who like their software free!

And wasn't yahoo's search powered by google for the longest time? Whats most annoying to me is that if you goto one of Yahoo's chat rooms, you'll get pounded with instant messages from bots telling you to go sign up to see a webcam show. And there's no OPS to ban them. I don't know why Yahoo chat got more popular than IRC. Felt good to kick-ban bots. Maybe Yahoo created/distributed those kiddie scripts that wannabe's used to bring the IRC servers to a halt. "Hey, our chat rooms suck, but at least you can log in!"-Yahoo Chat
