    What makes you say that no Hollywood film makes a proffit? They wouldn't make films if this were true. This sounds like a rather large and unreasonable generalization. Unless you were being sarchastic, in which case, I appologize.

    That's actually an interesting topic, and maybe it should be a feature for subscribers for a few extra dollars. I mean, have Slashdot mirror (on slashdot servers) all linked pages in the articles for subscribers only.

    Don't forget they even know your oppinions! But I agree with the parent, I don't think they care. They have no reason to aggregate all of this data together, what would they do with it? Sell it? I think they have enough money as it is. I believe they're just offering a service for people which will enhance their browsing experience. I'm not sure how they will make money on the WebAccellerator but they do a lot of things that do not give them any proffit, so this isn't very alarming. Take your tinfoil hats off...

    She was fifteen, she'd had the talk about the birds and the bees. I find it hard to believe that people are seduced into sex, and this was only considered seducing after he had been talking to her for two years. Most teenagers don't know eachother for two days and they get it on like jack rabbits. If anything I applaud his patience.

    I've been playing Quake2 and games similar to it for a very long time and never once have I had an urge to kill because of it. Hell, I can't even bring myself to punch somebody in the face in a fight. I hate bringing pain to others, but I know that in a game it's not real. If some people are influenced by these games they should not be playing them and they should quit making it my problem. I don't know what the purpose of these studies are. It's not as if they can stop violent games from being produced.

    Websites with an image similar to the one you've submitted? The location of the building you've taken a picture of? There would have to be some extremely smart image recognition and comparison algorithms going into this. I wonder if those algs could be used to benefit AI, I would imagine they would have to be that good for this to work properly. -n

    Agreeably the only feature of WMP I like, the easy CD ripping. Which is ironic because they also try to force DRM on you.
