Not many of Slashdot stories matter much, and readers have different interests. Those of us who use non-English versions of Firefox might be interested to read about the update before it hits them.
It does have one extra feature, a flashlight, but I'm sure you can put tape over it and pretend it's not there.
It also isn't really, really small, because like most phones it has buttons, a screen and a microphone + speaker combination.
It isn't made of liquid metal, but seems to have non-slippery sides.
1) It started by describing a previous game called Spiderman 2 ("Free-swinging travel... made for a fun, if mindless, title.")
2) It continued describing this game under review: "giving players the chance to control both"
3) It has the joystick icon
4) It's posted by Zonk
So which of these hints did you miss? What did you lose by clicking the Read more link in your confusion?
Hmm, I always imagined that they combined the two very different products in a way no one before had done. There wasn't any console with internal persistent storage of any significant kind that they could have derived from. Yep, definitelly innovation. Seems like an obvious idea but they implemented it first.
I've got great respect towards MS's hardware side. Their Sidewinder joysticks were the first where to my knowledge the twisting handle as a third axis was used. Almost all Sidewinder controllers topped their competitors in quality. Too bad they discontinued making those.
Keyboards and mouses? No bad word from me. Their mouse drivers had the extremely useful application specific profiles (that went away and then back?) that Logitech for some reason still refuses to include. Pricey things however, which is why changed to Logitech's products (and now the keyboard seems to need oiling and I really miss those profiles for the otherwise nice MX1000).
And maybe it wasn't really super duper innovative, but Xbox was the first console with hard drive by default.
If craft is launching: Rain + moving at thousands of meters per second, turning each drop into an impactor = Very Bad
The shuttle is not going to move that fast where rain is an issue. If I didn't seriously misread this graph here, it goes about 400m/s at 10km. Okay, pretty fast...
If you don't give your name when asking for an anonymous card (and there isn't a guy in a darkened room going through the security camera records with face recognition software) your point is moot.
Or maybe there is a gang of government thugs hiding under the librarians desk!
If a right handed person can use a mouse with left hand, can't a leftie use one with right hand without too much trouble? Either way, the S+ARCK was said to be uncomfortable, it's not going to become any more ergonomic in the hands of a leftie.
Hey, it's just a game console / part time media center. Whatever UI it has, it's designed for people who want to play Xbox games.
Not Playstation discs, not shady ROMs, and certainly not uncertified third-party software. It sounds like you're expecting for MS to start making some sort of general purpose PCs.
I don't understand how that could be even considered. Are they going to change every card whenever you address changes? My Finnish driver's license certainly doesn't have any information that could change during the license's 52 year lifetime (apart from the photo and some medical conditions like glasses).
Cops can still find out my address through the social security number and their fancy databases.
Yet you read the comments and wrote one yourself.

I'm sorry too, for you losing your sense of humor. Even a bad joke is a joke.
Use regular old password?
This very recent piece resulted in the GTA3 mod website being Slashdotted to ashes.
Doesn't work:
- Light bulbs in prisons are protected (by safety glass or something else)
- If the light is broken, how could they find the pieces in the dark
^C was "break" in MS-DOS and still is in cmd.exe. What was your point again?
How about a Nokia 1100?

You will be able to buy them pre-burnt.
It's a good thing then that Cindi sticks to regular people stuff, like flying and talking in space without a space suit.

my room sounds like a wind tunnel and that's just the way I like it!
Yes, you are a big man. But some of us still have our hearing and are not fond of constant (artificial) tinnitus.
Then I suppose there's no point in me going public with my new invisible car, since Mr. Bond already has one.
It even tries to replicate the amazing ergonomics of the NES controller!
Ye shall know them by their fruits.
And from their ever so fashionable use of Early Modern English.
Option 3 is least uncommon by far.
So what you are saying is that #3 is the most common case? Weirdest double negative I've seen.
we can never be as good as other platforms until 3rd parties support us out of the box.
You must be talking about the 1st parties. They're the ones making the boxes.
That's called "derivative," not innovative.

Real addresses on all cards

$99.5MM dollars of debentures out of $600MM
What is "MM"? Is it million 'mericans or something?
