When america loses astronaughts their manned space flight shuts down untill years later after an investigation is done. In SOVIET RUSSIA they just kept sending man after man after man up into space. I have a feeling china would do the same damn thing.

In many large grain elevators inert gases such as nitrogen may be pumped into the silo's while the others gases are pumped out. N2 is pretty inert and is non-toxic. What is toxic is the lack of oxygen. Best yet, most of our atmosphere is nitrogen.
One day this beautifull puddle of goo will evolve into something wonderfull. By then it will be able to massively execute in parrallel and become capable of abstract thinking. It will have reached a new level of understanding and power. No wait, we can already make those! All it takes is a little love!
Perhaps this is just another "technical" and "synthetic" benchmark. It's all about real world performance, like Linus said, and there are many other shortfalls to the chip and its architecture.

We'll its easy enough to put that DRM in current BIOS'. In fact right now bios' can block/permit writting to the boot sector of a hard disk. All it would take is a little mod and we could have a Windows friendly bios. This new bios is definently a good improvement and has nothing to do with drm.

It seems to me that Student Unions pretty much bitch and protest nearly all administrative decisions at a university. I would really expect them to go all out in this case. If they had any brains at all there would be a huge student rally this weekend to protest this. I'm pretty sure the WHOLE school would show up. NO ONE likes to have their privacy invaded and worst yet, have RIAA and MPAA within striking distance!
Since when has MS ever cared about standards. One nice thing about being a monopoly is that you don't! I honestly hope they aren't doing this just to stop the mono project. Am i misunderstanding this or do i correctly understand that this runs vhdl.
I'm in the process of learning vhdl right now and i think it would be really cool to test out some designs without looking at a waveform for a result. I'm only in 1st year engineering so actually designing hardware is out of the question. If so this would be totally kick ass!
We all know that TCPA is meant to be trusted computing but i also see many issues with it. For ex, the integration of DRM into the whole equation by microsoft. I can easily envision them integrating it into their WMP 9 technology and preventing all those without TCPA access to the media.
Next is the whole issue of what is "trusted". Is Open Source software trusted? What about compiling a custom kernel. Will that jeopardize the trustedness.
Another issue i have is with a possible encrypted hard disk. Will criminals and terrorists sabotage their OS rendering the hdd unreadable?
