    So's everyone else. Management at my work (callcentre)'s freaking out because our clients want to move to India. I hate my job, so I don't really care, but I still end up dealing with the fallout from 1/2 the calls going to Bangalore (no sir, your 10 year old printer is NOT still under warranty. No sir, I will not send you a brand new one.)

    I had assumed payment would be offloaded anyways. The server would be in charge of cataloging books, searching for them, and removing them from the database once a sale is done (and recording the terms of the sale). You could do it in a kline + comments. Not easy, but not too hard either

    You could... oh, I don't know... Write it yourself? About a thousand lines of C code (not much) done by an amateur programmer (like myself, in fact, I can think of how to do it right now, were I not so lazy, and the most advanced programming course I've taken is CS 102) and you're done.

    LeMans? Racing?

    I own a 92 LeMans HB, that POS couldn't win a race against a metro (but it's cheap on gas, so I drive it anyway), especially a rally (more to do with my shocks being shot to hell)

    Bandwidth a'int free. Try getting an ISP where you pay per MB (with every ISP or backbone, somebody pays per MB... *Your* ISP usually just absorbs the cost). You'll be singing a different tune

    Likely it's just the scheduling system or billing or the employee network or somesuch. Aircraft wouldn't be trusted with windows in place, particularly hooked up to the internet

    Non-Ham restricted radio's the same way. As soon as the M'Aidai (may day) call is put out, everyone MUST shut up, at risk of their radio cert. There's a whole list of legal priority, but my AIP is at home, and I'm at work.

    They suppressed counter-revolutionary elements... so what? So did your pilgrims during the revolution, so did pretty much everyone during every revolution (suppressing the aristocracy, etc.)
