Really, there are so many ignorant people out there. I'm glad you got marked troll, because thats exactly what you are doing. Nintendo has always said they make their games for everyone. Mature people dont need edgy violence and crap to make fun games. They just make good gameplay. If good gameplay isnt enough for you, then you should probably not be buying games to begin with.

  3. Nintendo has NEVER gone for the kids market on Revolution Least Expensive Next-Gen Console · · Score: 1

Just wanted to point out that they've stated countless times they dont specifically target any gaming audience. They make their systems for EVERYONE to play. Young and Old. The original NES was never made for kids, it was made for everyone. And it worked. I remember spending days playing MegaMan with my friend and his dad. The whole 'Nintendo is for kids' is such an ignorant statement, you can easily tell who the uninformed gamers are. Anyone who has any inkling of gaming history knows that Nintendo is for everyone. If games appear to be more simple, or less violent, it isn't just for the kids, its for the people who are actually MATURE enough to not need this stuff to make a game great.

Sorry, didn't mean to come off like a troll or anything. But $120? That is just crazy. You could buy a Nintendo DS for that much.

Really, this DS game delivers. The second screen support, despite being a map most of the time, is a fantastic addition, and the length of the game so far has been much longer, and a far better experience than the former best in series Symphony of the Night. While the music might not be up to par with it, everything else is done as good, and often times better. Seriously, this game rocks, and I can honestly say after owning a stack of DS games, that this handheld is going to keep me from buying any next generation console. Nintendo has a fantastic system on their hands!

Game developers are complaining that it is going to be hard to port to other systems?? It's supposed to be hard. That's the entire point of having more than one console on the market. If they all played the exact same games, why would Sony or Microsoft have even bothered to make consoles instead of letting Nintendo just do it?

Look, People buy consoles for all the unique games available. They certainly are not looking for some random crappy port that is already available elsewhere. If you want Mario you buy Nintendo, if you want Gran Turismo you buy PS2, if you want Halo you buy XBox.

Devs need to quit worrying about ports, and start making new and unique games for platforms. Leave Half-Life 2 on the PC and bring something new and exciting to the PS3, and something entirely different to the Gamecube, and yet something completely different to the XBox. Thats what they're there for. Different gaming types. Not ports!

There is no way in hell im paying $60 for another Halo sequel, or Gran Turismo 30.

  10. It's called the DS upgrade. on PSP 2.0 Update Finally Released · · Score: 5, Interesting
In all seriousness, it is absolutely amazing to see so many companies who want to get into the handheld market fail so miserably. It is like a voodoo curse on anyone other than Nintendo that even thinks of trying to break into the market. Sony came out with this very fast, slick handheld, and.. then.. nothing! They release it all at different times all over the world basically forcing people to buy the competition. It's like Sony gave up at the last minute or something out of nowhere. Huge shortage of decent games to buy, and even the ones that are worth buying are priced right out of the handhedl market! Have you even seen how much the PSP movies cost?? You can go buy the DVD which is higher quality, tons of extras for around $10-15 at places, or you can buy the PSP version that is lower res, virtually no extras, and costs $30!! Did some marketing goon just show up on launch day and say "Hey, lets set prices for this stuff so no one buys it!!" and they all went "Okay!!"??

Seriously, where is all the sensible PSP marketing? I sometimes wonder if Nintendo plants people into other companies that have any sort of draw and have them derail their products on purpose. It is just UNREAL how bad everyone has failed trying to get into the handheld market.

Pretty much every 360 game has to run with no HD limitation unless it is a subscription service that changes constantly.

I doubt Bethesda, or especially Bungi would alienate their players. I would imagine the non-HD version will be the biggest seller, and not being able to play Halo 3? Wow, that would go down as being a worse product than the Virtual Boy.

  13. Server stability - Or lack of it. on Ask Questions of the World of Warcraft Team · · Score: 1
Since the day WoW opened, we have experienced slow and laggy gameplay. To this day, nine months or so later it is still happening. I play on the IceCrown server, which seems to reboot itself about 4-5 times every single night. Yet, all the customers that play on this server still pay their monthly fee with no reimbursements.

Is there ever going to be a fix for this? Thousands of paying subscribers would like to know why their servers just simply reboot several times a night, disconnect them, lag out during raids, split their instances, and basically make the entire game nearly unplayable!

The highly touted MOXI box has fallen fla with broken season passes and terrible analogue recording, and the other built-it yourself kits use the absolute worst TV Guide data i've ever seen. Sure, eventually someone might make a product as good, but for right now, it's like the iPod. It does one thing, and it does it well enough to stay on top.

If a game is going to cost $60, it had better get 9/10 or 10/10 reviews from nearly everywhere, and be hailed as the next best thing. If it is even SHY of that, 8/10 or an average 3/5 game, then I can think they can kiss any sales goodbye.
