I currently use NoScript, CookieSafe, RefControl and Adblock; now I want a CSS preference extension. Maybe I should create a rolled-up extension "NoNothing" which administers preferences for Script, Cookies, Referrer and CSS on a site-by-site basis.
Because, the sheer idea of being detained or hassled because some computer suggested you might be stressed is nuts.
Uh huh. I know a number of people who are absolutely terrified of flying, imagine being hassled by some dickhead thug is really going to help. Mind you, these people are the kind to pop a couple diazepam before flying so they might be OK after all.
Yes, because why should doctors have to actually understand how the human body works biochemically. They can just prescribe drugs from the companies that woo them the best.
People are born with compassion and empathy circuits in our brain for a reason, and those that don't have them or can't use them are seriously handicapped.
...But will probably get elected anyway.:(
I was going to say, that seems to be one of the criterion for the C level.
Don't let the truth get in the way of us having a laugh at some crackpots. Most of the people around here are smart enough to make their own conclusions about reality OR trolls generally.
"One message includes bin Laden's denial of having anything to do with the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York City, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania."
I don't understand, I was told he is directly responsible for everything that is wrong with the world!
I absolutely hate site suggestions when I mistype an URL. Why? Because if the url contains the phrase "kicks-ass", my ISP starts advertising porn.
You don't even need a 'suggestions' feature for that. S[pc]ammers and pr0n site operators have bought up every conceivable typo/variation of any popular domains already.
When will someone either come up with full-body haptics or a direct neural interface. I'm voting for the former, I really don't want a script kiddie raiding my brain.
When I google it it seems that people are concentrating mainly on stimulating touch receptors. While that's an important component, I want something like a suspended exoskeleton to provide actual force feedback to as many muscle groups as possible.
Listen to the wise posters above me, and;
We had videos of this guy, rocketbird and the mountain swooping team here on /. less than a year ago. All very cool and successful flights.
You are correct.

No no, you need to provide a car analogy. It's like going to pick up the groceries in an F1.
Somehow they don't seem to realize that pop-ups are meant to be an unnatural experience that indicates a decision is necessary.
Maybe they should flash, play an alarming sample and say WARNING, DANGER WILL ROBINSON.

I would hope they would stop on the way (or come back) to pick us stragglers up rather than just wait at the other end.
Oh, users aren't that complex, just random and unpredictable.

What do you mean, African or European?

Yes, it certainly seems unprofessional for an ISP to have unsafe anything (hosted by them obv. I'm not talking about filtering) by default.
Successful Troll is successful.

If you have a look at the rlz interface code, It appears that it sends "pings" to the Goog upon various events.
I think the most efficient call centre would be distributed to stay-at-home mums using asterisk.
You could also do generic horoscopes/numerology via email -- less demand on people skills that way, could be automated.
Consider astrology/divination/psychic readings sort of thing.
Minimal learning required, reasonable money.
Can be done online too.
well who else do I call if my wife won't make me a sammich or I can't find my glasses?

Bring on the virtual wushu.
What would you think of a doctor who, because some exec somewhere decided he should, pushed the WRONG medication / procedure to you?
You seriously don't think this happens with the big pharmaceutical companies now?
