Right on, matey! We're a bunch of lone wolf players who want to get lost in an extremely huge world where we can do what we bloody want to!
That's us, the TES crowd. That's what the series is tailored to. That's what we want. That doesn't friggin' mean they can't tailor to other crowds (read: you Fallout people), too. Get that into your head already! These people actually CARE about their customers, unlike other companies. That's always been one of the things I loved about this company.
Let's not make baseless assumptions here, shall we? If you took the time to actually check out Bethesda's past products, you'd have seen there are in fact several that are rated M, for example Daggerfall (Morrowind's direct predecessor).
Seriously. Enterprise is the wrost Trek series of all times, and that includes the future. The first two season were - though not exactly great - acceptable. But the third season was just unbearable. This whole Xindi thing was just plain stupid.
I for one would applaude the cancellation of this show. As others have said before, the franchise needs a break. Then, in perhaps 20 years time, we will see the likes of TNG and DS9 again.
Thank you captain obvious. I'm sure nobody would have figured that out on their own. Sometimes I really wonder why people keep paying analysts at all. All they appear to do is churn out totally baseless and unrealistic estimates and statistics or state the obvious.
We know the smell of this shit all too well. That's why we do not tolerate it. That's the meaning of being human - you're supposed to learn from your mistakes, not repeat them.
Yeah, and if you refuse, you're under general suspicion. Since when do people have to prove their innocense? Last time I checked,it was the other way around!
Perhaps you should get Aibo's little sister, the electric cat. I don't think what you want is a cat, what you want is an automaton. Most people that love cats because cats have a character.
Ok please don't take me for a troll, I really don't know any better!
But....what would this be good for? Except perhaps playing Escape Velocity which doesn't run as well on the PC? Is there really any software you can't get for PC thats only available on the MAC? Besides MacOS that is....
That sucks. But then I suppose we need it more than you do. After all, even if your players don't play well, at least they play entertaining. Often enough, ours play both shitty and in a boring way, too...
Hm. Most people here that wanna get loaded real quick just buy stuff like Jaegermeister or really cheap rum or whiskey. And if they wanna get loaded even faster, they mix cheap beer and booze - they hold the beer glass and the shot in the same hand, the shot glass is held between the index and the middle finger, and then they drink from both at once. Gets you loaded real fast I suppose. Never tried it myself.
It's not like anyone drinks that here! Hell, I haven't even HEARD of that before!
I'm sitting here and having a glass of non-caffeinated wine right now and I swear they don't sell this stuff you're talking about anywhere I've ever been!
The original Budweiser is from Budweis, Czechia. It's considered a light lady's beer there, but it's not light in taste, only alcohol. The beer known in the US as Budweiser is a rip-off. Basically, they just stole the name (it wasn't copyrighted, same thing as with LotR I suppose...)
Besides, we (= continental europe) joke about the brits drinking their beer warm all the time. Of course they deny it. But when we think of beer, we don't necessarily think of the UK;)
As an inhabitant of a country that makes great beers, I have to say I find this highly appaling.
You might wonder why I even care - after all, that beer is not exported to Europe and we can still drink our own (beerlike) beer. There's just one problem - the Football WC (you call it soccer...)
Stupid FIFA has a contract with an American beer producer. Guess which. That means we can only buy American beer in the stadion.
[...] and the cause is a f**ked up middle east. so to war with iraq we go, to begin the the process of fixing the middle east.
And indeed, look how well it worked! The iraqis are so much better off now. They don't have to be afraid to be subjected to random violence anymore, the streets are save at night, and everybody's got enough food and drink and..ooops, ok maybe no drink. In fact, maybe none of the rest either.
Judge this war not by the rationals behind it, but by the result is what they said.
Important question: Where do you live? Does the area have any kind of digital tv? If so, I'd go for a dvb solution - eliminates the need of encoding your recording, just gotta grab the mpeg stream and save it on the harddisk.
To see what cards are supported in general (analog and digital), a visit to Gerd Knorr's website bytesex.org might be in order...
I personally have two Hauppauge cards, one for normal analog cable and one for DVB-t. The windows drivers are a joke, but they work well in linux...
Excuse me? It sold several million copies, I'd hardly call that "failing". Obviously, many disagree with you.

Why not a season earlier?

I guess he got so annoyed by slashdot wiseguys that he thought being horribly sick just wasn't worth it.
Seriously though, this is good news. I've always been a slackware user (starting with slack 2.0 I think) and I'm glad he's better now.

Close. German.
I'd like to use this opportunity to say that many other countries produce excellent beers as well.
What makes you believe I'm English?
Budweiser is not Budweiser.

Glad to hear it. I wonder why the big brands can't seem to produce anything worthwile. It's not like it's very difficult...
apology accepted ;)
appalling
You'd think that was obvious, but no... ;]

Someone from Europe who's pissed at piss...

Fascinating.
I left my desk for a few hours today. There's two machines on it. One slackware, the other WinME (NOT my choice!)
When I came back, the WinME comp's screen was completely gray and it showed no signs of life. 'nuff said.
Hello?
Am I the only one who immidiatly thought of a comic character of indian descent here?
