    Now that is wierd..never seen that before.

    One of the technologies swept wings are being replaced with is thrust vectoring, which allows the plane to change the direction of the engine exaust, this allows a plane with a good pilot/computer to have extreme manuverability compared to normal aircraft.

    The F-22 has up/down thrust vectoring, the X-31 has full directional controls, as well as the Su-35(or 37, not sure). One trick ive seen the Su do is to vector the thrust upwards as far as it will go, while pulling back on the stick, which turns so rapidly that for a short time the plane flies backwards...the vectoring also helps with nearly instant recovery of the insuing stall.

    Upon some further googling, I found some info on the X-44 MANTA project, which is a modified F22 with uses thrust vectoring to completely replace almost all control surfaces (still in concept stage) X-44 Concept Drawing

    The Concorde's nose can change position to either give the pilots a better view of the runway, or to reduce drag, the wings, however, do not.

    Speaking from personal experiance..the population threshold for pooling the money to build a church is much lower than that required to get anyone to even consider giving the area dialup access, much less anything better.

    I doubt rural areas will get much use out of it.

    You obviously havn't looked very hard.

    There is a thiving community build around engine work for Doom, Quake, and Quake 2, at least. And i'm sure there are others out there that I just havn't looked for yet.

    Maybe this one is just wierd, but the Walmart I usuly go to (not much choice, I live in the sticks) has several copies of GTA3 and Vice City, MOH:AA, the Half-Life Platinum collection, etc., etc.

    They don't seem to have any problem carrying M rated games (I'm pretty sure those are..I know damn well GTA is, but I'm just guessing on the others)

    They do, however, carry the censored music.

    Thats the source for the kernel interface, not the X driver itself..thats a binary.

    I had 8-9 warts on my right hand a few years ago, and several small ones on my face.

    The face ones were surgicly removed (cut and burned...ow)

    The ones on my hand dissappeared after swimming in a friends pool..they were raw afterward, and a few days later were gone.

    That pool was slightly over clorinated :)

    Now, those hand warts were scheduled to be surgicly removed the next week, needless to say I wasn't complaining about the pool :)

    Doom could do it..sort of.

    You had to have the monitors on diffrent pcs, and networked, but you could use three monitors, one in front, and one on each side...so you could see what was beside you by turning your head rather than your character. Ive never had the chance to test it myself though.

    Ive seen a screenshot of it displaying the 'Hacked by Chinese!' Code Red page, but I didn't see it myself, so it may have been faked.

    Unless its a defacement, and someone notices, you probobly wouldn't hear about it.

    I havn't seen that episode, but supposidly he is modeled after Professor Higgins from Pygmalion/My Fair Lady. From your description, that episode is most certianly a parody of that story, as Higgins says the same thing about Eliza's speach (also cockney). Higgins was most definatly upper class british.

    SCO seems to have taken it down now, but they at one time had a page which described several 'Open Source Leaders' as hackers with no respect for the rights of others, including ESR, Bruce Perens, Linus Torvalds, and Richard Stallman. They then called the above IBM sockpuppets in their 'Everyone is out to get us!' press release.

    SCO has already givin up their right to be treated as professionals.
