With over 400 Green Party candidates in 40 states in 2004, wouldn't it be wiser for the Green Party to be building local support throughout the nation as opposed to quixote quest for the Presidency which could be considered a waste of money and talent as well as a lack of focus?

It always amazes me that geeks think that everyone should know how a computer works. Why? Does a automechanic or plumber or electrician expect the same? I hire a guy to fix my brakes, change the oil, install a new heater and air conditioner in my house, and, frankly, I don't want to know how they do what they do.
Before you drop into identity theft and such, how many people don't even know what they're credit score is? And you don't even need a computer to find that out.
Sometimes we do. I'm happy with google being a monopoly for my searches. I've always used one search engine. Before google it was altavista. If altavista or jeeves made a better search engine for me, I would use it exclusively. My main beef with google is that its hard to make a search to differentiate between information about a product and those pesky people that all want to sell me a product. It would be really cool if google would basically have 2 discrete searches. One for buying stuff (froogle) and one just for searches. Its gotten very annoying how companies have googlebombed their name and their products by purchasing a bunch of domains that all point to each other. I personally wish there were more integrity at the DNS level, but thats another topic.
Monopoly? You might only use Google now, but you have used other search engines in the past. Your use of one search engine doesn't make it a monoply, it just makes you a creature of habit like everyone else.
Symantec also said it expects more viruses and worms in the future to be written to attack systems that run on the Linux operating system and hand-held devices as they become more widely used.
Hmmm, Symantec sells virus protection for hand-helds and Linux. I sure hope that they believe there will be more virus/spam attacks against these systems.

No doubt this is just one meaning of the word and can change according to how important legal filesharing alternatives become.
You'd be amazed how important the legal filesharing alternatives have become. For instance, over at bt.etree.org you can see several shows that have had thousands of downloads.
Well, from the FurtherNET site:
No Illegal/Copyrighted media
So, if I understand what you are saying that in order to share files you must share illegal and/or copyrighted material?
Correct me if I am wrong (and I'm sure you will), but isn't Star Wars meant for a 6-year-old rather than a 37-year-old programmer who is bilingual in Klingon?
interestingly you say this should be taken with a grain of salt, yet you give no reasons why. you mention enneson and others, but no specifics. could you please elaborate?
Rules are always made to be broken. It just seems odd to take so much learsure in someone else's ain. Maybe they were aranoid about 'golden showers' or some other ervision. Well, someone at Trend Macro has come up with a roject lan to ass through a new change.

Why do I have this knot in my stomach as Congress prepares legislation to stop spam? Remember when they 'deregulated' the cable industry and all our rates went up? I know it is possible to go from bad to worse, but what is after that?
Damn, kids today can't appreciate anything. What is this world coming to? Back in my day . . . (fall asleep) . . . (wake up with a start) . . . That's what I'd do to fix 'em. That would fix 'em real good.
If anyone has the entire season or the season before that -- and probably any other season -- please mail them to me. It seems I missed out on the 'best show ever.'

Also, if you're on dialup, I suggest NOT downloading this.
