Also what is the ratio of dropped calls to calls made?

With all due respect, I don't see how that is even relevant. If one dropped call to 911 ended in tragedy, it is alarming. I understand the provider is under no obligation to guarantee 911 service in any particular area, but that is the one service we should be able to depend on. The #1 reason I have a cell phone is in case of an emergency. Obviously I enjoy the other capabilities it gives me, but if the only thing you could use a cell phone for was to call 911, I would still get one for my wife. I have a feeling the majority of (mature) people with cell phones feel the same way.

It amazes me that people get so passionate about this subject, but what justification is there in belittling other's beliefs? I believe there is a God. You may believe there is not. Neither of us can prove ourselves correct or each other wrong, so why get worked up about it? I do not believe in Darwin's theory of evolution, but obviously I can not prove it is incorrect. Even if I could, should I think less of someone that believed it? It is the differing of opinions that eventually brings enlightenment to all (you can quote me on that). I haven't made up my own mind on the origin of the species, but I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that what I call God directly had a hand in it. I just can not comprehend how life could be created from non-life without the intervention of an "intelligent designer".

Americans do learn a "whole bunch" of cultural values. Unfortunately, it seems like the majority of those values come from sources other than their parents. Which is understandable, because the parents gained their moral values the same way. My point is a culture with a strong dedication to making sure their children are responsible and respectful have a different set of values than a culture without such a dedication.

At the risk of sounding old-fashioned (which I am) or prudish (which I am), I think this is a great idea. I now visit kids-in-mind to check out EVERY movie before I rent it - it gives details about every bit of sexuality/violence/profanity. As a concerned father of two pre-teen children, I don't want them watching the smut that Hollywood passes off for entertainment.

It seems like every film director feels compelled to throw in a sex/nude scene, and the film will be rated R, but only for "violence".

Case in point: the movie Basic, starring John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson. I liked the movie, billed as a "military suspense thriller." What I didn't like was a scene near the end, apparently during a Mardi Gras parade, where a completely topless woman was shown from the front. What the hell? In my opinion, that's not appropriate for my boys to be watching.

There are many good movies out there that barring a few scenes, would be perfectly acceptable for my children to watch. A device like this should allow my family to watch and enjoy these movies.
