o2 network (UK based) offers something like this, you can have a option where it can locate you, through the signal, to help find local restaurants, and top-up shops.
i don't see this being too different to triangulation, which is around at the momment.
Of course it is different in form, working on a different principle, but the results remain the same.
And 'see through walls'? How hard can this be to implement? Thermal Imaging and anything else that is not dependant on line-of-sight functions can do this already.
erm, i back up my game cds, its just not worth the risk of the original getting wrecked from use/taking it out the drive/ leaving it on the desk (tut-tut) and so forth.
I just leave it in the case, and use a backup. if that gets damaged, i burn another one....
Although the temperatures could actually fall due to global warming, as the ice-caps melt, making the oceans colder, which is then lead into the cycle.....
Of course airplanes are very high up, that is what causes the low temperatures, which will most likely not be affected by global warming....
I personally have been 'touched' by many viruses (virii?) in the past, but they all got stopped by my antivirus.... i guess i would count as being in that 80%.....
Touched is not the same as infected.....
There seems to be a lot of interest in this in the UK now, a few news items and so forth.
If only mobile shops would offer better prices on trade-ins, i'm sure this would reduce the amount of waste..... even if its an old and unwanted phone, i'm sure nokia, sony, and so forth will still have an interest in parts...... or you can sell it on eBay as parts of course......
At this current time, we can all see price wars going on at the momment, undercutting, spamming for special offers, pop-up [shudder] adverts, and so forth, and whilst this is nothing new, how do you forsee this heading in the next few years?
Are we going to see the gradual upgrading of prices, as everyone starts charging for software, to get the funds of the "Big Companies" and therefore develop programs which have a hope of selling, or are we going to see everything becoming cheaper and cheaper, with advertising in programs, so that more and more of the programs will be bought at a lower price, ending up with the cheap programs selling a lot more than the more expensive programs, with a higher turnover?
Or will we see everything turn shareware, with an additional fee to remove the adverts and so forth, but for everything?
The reason for this is we had to limit the bandwidth for this article at ~1.0 MBPS because we were linked at Slashdot.
Interesting, i haven't seen a notice like that before./me raises one eyebrow.
Well, if you want to spend lots of time moored out in the sea, running your computer off a battery or generator, at threat from real pirates and so forth, be my guest.
I'm not really, its seems to be, that once you get before the courts, they don't seem to mind exactly how you got there, just the fact that you are there.....
(damn, this formatting takes some getting used to, i bet this looks like a poem.:\ )

Ok, we've all establised these systems are overpriced for what they offer. And that the only people who would be interested, are people who want watercooling, and a clear side.
Does anyone see the problem here?
The case is designed for LAN parties, etc, as is the spec.
But anyone who goes to LAN parties, or anything like them, generally knows a bit about computers, enough to avoid this computer.
so why would anyone buy one, unless they had enough money (so we can rule out a lot of people) who thought they were keen enough to validate this spend, but don't know what they are buying?
And, coming soon..... the real experience.
A lousy back seat, or one really close to the screen.
Annoying 7 year-olds-screaming and laughing at all the wrong parts, and your token 16year old, throwing popcorn at his mates. On the other side of you. Repeatedly.
Would anyone really pay for an 'enhanced' experience? Or is watching the film on DVD, surround sound and features not enough, you need to spill your drinks and popcorn as well, during the high speed car chase?

Where would the law stand on alcohol smuggling if this was ever implemented?

Thank You for your time.
It just has to be named this, after the Late Douglas Adams (Mostly Harmless) [RIP]
Just as he predicted......
Or, slightly more accurately,
