I'm haven't read much on RFID tags, but I thought the power came from the reader, so the only thing that would have to be more powerful for the cards to be read from more than an inch away would be the reader, not the card.
Ya see, my plan is that we strap wifi repeaters on the backs of some dingos and kangaroos and then put bulky, overpowered access points on the koalas. We'll have australia blanketed in warm radio glow in no time!
Man, I'm jealous. I go to Sprayberry a few miles away and our most technical course is "Build the school webpage while being screamed at not to use a text editor rather than frontpage," IE, "Gifted Computer Programming" and you guys get robots? =P
My buddy, Thor, was about to go on a killing spree in the Norwegian court system. He was mumbling about not being able to copy his favorite tear-jerker to his laptop of doom, and he was just grabbing his hammer and helmet when I saw this and and showed him.
I imagine you'd spend almost as much, if not more, money on decent name brand batteries in an 18 month time span as you would on the Apple replacement.

The way I see it is, if you have to depend on someone completely to live, you'll be friendly.
I don't know if it's different from state to state, but here overtime is calculated by hours worked per week, not when they're worked.
