  2. FUD on Piracy Killing PC Gaming? · · Score: 1

The reason PC gaming is dying is console gaming. Many new PC games are built so that they are easily portable to the latest consoles, and in the process any advantages the PC holds over the console is whisked away.

Deus Ex 2 is the quintessential example of this, how a great--possibly one of the best games ever made was killed by the consoles.

  3. Re:Beat frequency on Combating Harassing Use of Mosquito Noise Device? · · Score: 0
Build a similar device to emit noise at a slightly different frequency. The result will be horrible sounds as the two waves interfere. The horrible sounds will seem to come from both your source and the original source. You may get the blame but at least the cops/etc will believe that an issue exists.

Are you sure that will actually work? All that it will do is modulate the amplitude, not much affecting the frequency of the sound. So the only people that will be able to hear these "horrible" sounds will be you and your fellow young people.

Please, speed up the Orwellization of your fine country, so that we may arrive at our conclusions the sooner.

    Much thanks in advance,

Dear Rest of the World, shitty legislation is like a lot like dung. If your neighbor fills his back yard with it, you're going to feel it too. Did you just turn 35? It seems like movies are pitched at the demographic from teenagers to mid-thirties. By 35, you've seen every trick in the Hollywood book, so nothing seems fresh. Everything strikes you as a copy of something you've already seen.

I submit it's not that the movies have been so bad lately, but rather that your sensibilities have changed.

I have yet to hit 20, and I think that 9.5 out of 10 movies today are so bad and so obviously ripping off older movies it's just insulting.

1 lot = 12.8 grams, but unfortunately this is a measure of mass, not volume.

Seeing as how some fruits float (like apples), and others sink (like bananas), and that probably adds up to about 50/50, we can assume it has the same density of water. (If something floats, it is less dense than the liquid surrounding it, and if it sinks, it's denser).

Therefore, a lot of fruit is about 12.8 mililiters of fruit.
