    paying a guy for a week to come up with a webpage that aggregates a bunch of selects and some greps doesn't seem like that much to me. oh and better pay a support guy or ten to answer the phone.

    If you're going to spend a couple hundred bucks anyway, moving your temporary files, binaries, and data to separate hard drives on separate buses.

    People wonder why my machine is loud, I wonder why they wait for programs to run while they're watching movies and folding proteins and copying files and torrenting and browsing the web and ... well, you get the picture.

    OMG!

    I was riding home from the local grocery with a Shopper in a bag hanging from my handlebar... Bad move. It swung into the spokes of the front wheel and I was catapulted over the bike, breaking my left arm in the process.

    Ah, but I did love that magazine. Look! 100 5.25HD disks for only 17 cents each! oooh! heheh

    OT: I bought a laptop cause I've got enough desktops. Next machine will be another desktop, and then probably another laptop. The desktop form factor will not die until someone invents a really nice wireless standard for video.

    ... an e-card is valid only for a year. It is re-issued annually (at no cost or at a minimal charge) with the same number but different expiration date.

    Take it from a retailer (me), correct expiration dates are not required to authorize a credit card.

    It was designed for farms and businesses that have a big problem with mice. I'd rather catch them in a bucket and drive them out and put them in the woods then break limbs in a more traditional trap. For many of these farms and businesses, leaving the mice running free is not an option. This seems like a very humane trap.

    We don't run them out into the woods. Our extra mice get dumped out in the ditch on the way to check the cows.
    Helps keep the cat population down.
