paying a guy for a week to come up with a webpage that aggregates a bunch of selects and some greps doesn't seem like that much to me. oh and better pay a support guy or ten to answer the phone.
If you're going to spend a couple hundred bucks anyway, moving your temporary files, binaries, and data to separate hard drives on separate buses.
People wonder why my machine is loud, I wonder why they wait for programs to run while they're watching movies and folding proteins and copying files and torrenting and browsing the web and... well, you get the picture.
And we all know that human beings would be much better off without fire.
You know, being smart and all that doesn't make life better. My cats are very happy to run around the fields and catch mice, my cows are happy walking around eating the grass. We would be just fine without a prefrontal cortex, I guarantee it.
> Every single f****n programmer knows by now that if you plan for a certain maximum limit, you multiply that number by a factor of 10,000, then raise it to the fourth power and add a few billion just to be sure.
>> Which explains why a mouse driver needs to be 500MB.
I was riding home from the local grocery with a Shopper in a bag hanging from my handlebar... Bad move. It swung into the spokes of the front wheel and I was catapulted over the bike, breaking my left arm in the process.
Ah, but I did love that magazine. Look! 100 5.25HD disks for only 17 cents each! oooh! heheh
OT: I bought a laptop cause I've got enough desktops. Next machine will be another desktop, and then probably another laptop. The desktop form factor will not die until someone invents a really nice wireless standard for video.
... an e-card is valid only for a year. It is re-issued annually (at no cost or at a minimal charge) with the same number but different expiration date.
Take it from a retailer (me), correct expiration dates are not required to authorize a credit card.
It was designed for farms and businesses that have a big problem with mice. I'd rather catch them in a bucket and drive them out and put them in the woods then break limbs in a more traditional trap. For many of these farms and businesses, leaving the mice running free is not an option. This seems like a very humane trap.
We don't run them out into the woods. Our extra mice get dumped out in the ditch on the way to check the cows. Helps keep the cat population down.

There is another one in Colorado at 303.499.7111, which I believe is hosted by NIST.

So.... sqrt(sqrt(500,000,000 - 3,000,000,000)) / 10,000 = one imaginary mouse driver.
All twelve of them. :)
I like the thought of openbsd, though, having never used it. I'm sure everything will be fine.
Sounds like Tolkien's Uomo.

You heard it here first.

I think you're confusing them with people that have pride in their work.
Well, you didn't know that before you read it, did you?
What country are you in?
I had a Paradise card that allowed this. It accomplished it by only storing 7 lines of data out of every 8.
Wouldn't that video have been a lot better if it were silent? :)
So do you start the cpu up by hand then?
