Great! Here's a $100. Now defrag my drive, mop the floor, cook my some dinner and have your GF "fix" me up nice in the bedroom while you finish sorting my OGG files.
Dude... your personal time should be valued MUCH more than your professional time. Think about it.
...this means they lost. Just like when MS started to say "Open Source is Nazi-ware blah blah" they lost. Done. Finished.
Watch as a new generation of young people (ages 6 through 16) hit Kazaa. Then Gnutella when Kazaa shuts down. When Peekabooty when P2P is getting hammered by **IA.
It's great news! I'm not being sarcastic. When they have to go to such lengts to protect a dead business model, all we have to do is sit back and laugh. And teach our familes how to use WinAmp or iTunes.
They FUNNY SHIT is this... I'd gladly pay PER SONG for an OGG download. But $20 for crap on an obsolete medium (CD's)? HA! Never...
Again, in short, they are dying and this is the first sign. enjoy the ride, you'll tell your grandkids about this.
I hate lawyers, and lawsuits, but this is one of the few times it seems legit. No one has answered, "What are the legal implications of SOMEONE ELSE clicking of YOUR end user licence aggreement?"
I would get a free consult and see what's what. Sounds to me like he, LITTERALY, hacked your system. Even if you signed a form or contract, YOU must click YES to make those aggreements valid. He did that on your behalf. Fraud? Tort? Misrepresentation? It could be a number of things!
...many slashdotters from accross the globe, who can spare a few dollars/euros for airfair and a motel room, will meet to piss on Bills grave. Fuck him, his bitch wife, and his kids. it drives me crazy that one man can do so much damage to the planet. Not since Hitler...
...not a rant or a rave... just a real solution what we will soon see. One day, people will crack and see the light. And then the next person to do this kind of thing will be found dead in their driveway. Then the next. Then the next. And if enough dead patent fuckers pop up across the world, people will think twice before they steal money from cancer patients.
You are a busy salesman/exec/whatever and you have a few staff. Two secretaries and a guy who works from home doing marketing. You want everone to share the same calander and contacts off your comp, so everyone can work off sync'ed data. Then you do a hotsync and work everyone did is in the palm of your hand.
How can you do it now? I know of only one way. Excahnge server. Now does a single dude with a small staff really have time to setup a box and admin it and want to spend thousands for the software? Not everyone is swift with sw/hw like slashdotters.
By the way, if you know how to solve the above problem, let me know!
But I really wanted to rebuy all my music and have added DRM.
Don't you wish someone would dream up and create a music player, maybe with a little tiny hard drive in it, something like 20 gigs say, and have a nice big screen and make it light and small? Oh, and add a great user interface and a simple wheel to make it work very easy. And sync it with a desktop. And let me put whatever songs I want on it without having to help pay for Valenti's new pool lining.
Anyone not short a few chromies, who has actually HELD an iPod in thier hand and not just seen pictures of it, will understand why nothing beats it for music. It's top quality built and super small. And the USER INTERFACE is where I put the money. The new Nomad could be small enough to insert in my sack as a third ball, but the iPod user interface, together with iTunes, blows everything else out of the water.
2) ???
3) FexEx gets competition.
Not on RedHad, buddy... that WILL get your ass in jail.

And the offer still stands... $100 baby!

I thought Slashdot posted a story about my ex-girlfriend.

Here in the USA, I suffer with both.
"But you can't come! Especially Stan and Kyle!"
"So come on down to Cartman land... but don't plan on getting past the parking lot!
