It would be interesting if SCO just fired up a copy of NMAP and slowly did a ping sweep with OS detection on the internet to try to locate Linux hosts. It would certainly get some people's attention.
Ultra AXe is another decent choice

Sun Sparc 5 Nostalgia

Basically an Ultra 5 built into an ATX motherboard. It makes it easy to toss together a system cheaply. I picked up the board for around $50 on ebay and the memory (256mb) for around $30 on ebay. Everything else was what I had laying around. Drop in a generic PCI USB/Firewire combo card and you've got most of the capabilities of a Sun Blade 100.
It actually has equal or probably greater performance than the system itself. As long as the CPU is not soldered, it definitely WILL if you upgrade it.
I have no problems with India, Indians or Indian culture. I just don't like being undercut by a person that I can't compete with on a money basis. And that is not necessarily their fault. If 6$ US per hour is a good wage for them, then fine. But if you move 1000 American (and Canadian) tech jobs to India to watch your stock raise a few points, it really pisses me off. Plus a lot of customers don't like knowing that they are talking to someone who was taught English as a second language. I don't have as much of a problem with H1-B because it levels the playing ground. At least in order to live in America, you're probably going to have to get somewhat of an American wage. We were commenting the other day about people advertising for H1 positions with things like SQL, Java, Oracle admin, C programming and then want to pay 11$ per hour. No where did they say that was who they wanted, but that was who they were targetting.
Funny, Spam (as all pork products) is illegal in S-A, but not Spam the e-mail? I wonder if the irony is completely lost on them considering they probably have no idea of what Hormel Spam is?
Actually getting that card to work is tricky in most "versions" of linux. The easiest way is to download the DOS utility from 3com and disable PnP and hard code the irq and io address. Then pass the arguments to the module. Simple as that.
I can't wait to pick up a bottle of Pangalactic Gargleblaster at the local liquor store. Or what about poetry so bad that ones intestine will crawl up the body and strangle your brain?
During a meeting a month or two ago someone mentioned that we had 20,000 Windows 98 support calls in the previous month (at $35 a pop) and when 98 support is ended, that is a loss of $700,000 a month of revenue. These customers who many of which bought their computers during the internet craze are limping along at 200MHz or so and a new OS for them means a new computer. So we considered this pretty much a bad move. (As contract people not MS employees)
Mission Control notified astronaut Michael Foale and cosmonaut Alexander Kaleri about the leak just before their bedtime
You know, Alexander, this may be our last night alive together.. Uh huh. Well... There's been something I've been meaning to ask you... Uhm... Ok? I've noticed... When you're alone in the shower... Uh... You look so lonely...as the water slowly rolls down your back...cheeks glistening in the glow of the fluorescent light. Get off me freak!
Do a search on iTunes for "Jenny" (you know... 867-5309) You'll see the Governator on one album cover. It is an old work out CD. Listen to a few samples. I was cracking up. "Now strech...KEEP YOUR ARMS STRAIGHT! And 1 and 2 and DON'T ARCH YOUR BACK!)

When you say "Sparc 5" most people assume you mean "SparcStation 5"
The specs say it can take 8gb but the product info says it can take 16gb of ram.

Where are my Goddamned modpoints?
To get Gentoo fully installed, you'd have to run the New York Marathon.. twice.
I was thinking more along the lines of running in the Paris to Dakar rally.
My website has a section for replacing backlights that might help http://home.comcast.net/~stonent/screenfix.htm

I wonder if this has anything to do with the swastikas that accidentally made their way into an MS Office font?
If you're not smart enough to vote, I don't want your opinions on government issues.
Does nobody use DNS Round Robin?
So recopying my legally obtained music will work without a hitch? Gee, how does it know?
I like how you can reformat existing MD discs to 305mb formats.
Do a google search, they know it all!
