    Except many of the rules for determining what is Kosher and what isn't are actually being proven as scientifically/dietaryily (word?) sound... Pork has/had the massive problem of trichinosis (sp?), shellfish cause problems for people allergic to iodine, mixing meat and milk - the various digestive enzymes cancel eachother out, etc. Of course, still no explanation of why you need 4 sets of dishes, silverware, etc. but that's where the religion part comes back in.

    Marketing, but also price. Consider that you can buy PC parts from a bunch of manufacturers, vendors, etc. and the price competition involved there. I think I'd be really tempted to spend $100+ on OS X if I could run it on my "cheap" PC hardware.

    Second that. Design a really nice "page" as one big image, with appropriate white space for text, slice it all up, and export it to a HTML table with spacers, etc. all there, ready to go in Dreamweaver. Delete your white space graphics, define a template with an editable area or two, and start dropping in text. Works fantastic.

    Our departments biggest gripe is that it produces stuff that is not even close to Sec. 508 (disabilities compliance stuff) correct, although it renders nicely in many browsers on many platforms.

    Umm... All sorts. Just not Interstates. Of course, the on-ramps are fun, especially when there is no traffic :)

    Of course, there's always the mountains, like the Blue Ridge pkwy, the tail of the dragon, etc. Heck, I got some twistie roads near me here in Florida no less...

    I installed Office XP and 2k a few times today, on both Win2k and XP Pro machines. No reboots were requested. Of coure, I rebooted anyway, but only after doing a few more things to each machine.

    Dreamweaver also has some guides built in.

    Or you can just change your resolution for a few minutes to check, or maybe get a old boat anchor POS PC to use to check low end stuff or other browsers.

    Whatever you choose, also try a few of teh Gentoo live cds with the game demos on them - One of the UTs, AA, drop-n-play. And if you've got the blanks, perhaps a copy of the latest OpenCD as well?

    International Harvester and quite a few other "large machinery" type businesses also made carbines.

    Funny thing is that a custom gunsmith who lives near me uses axels out of Ford pickups made between '47 and '52 for his rifle barrels because they are the right kind of chrome/moly steel.

    Luckily (for Watson), a few months later, Pearl Harbor happened and, with the sharp increase in troops, materials and logistics, the U.S. government needed "calculating machines" and needed them fast.

    Don't forget that IBM also manufactured .30 cal M1 Carbines during WW2... the ultimate in international business machines (and relations).

    NT 4 workstation had a min memory requirement of 12mb, NT 4 server needed 16.

    The only time I loose satellite signal is when a tree grows in the way (happened last year, cut down the tree no problem) or when there is *very* heavy rain on the way. Mostly when it is still dry at the house, but the BIIG storm front is between the dish and hte satellite. Knocks out reception for a moment, and then all is fine.

    Cable isn't an option where I am - no cables.

    I was gonna recommend robots.txt as well. Also, if your site is really that popular and you don't mind people grabbing mirrors of it, why not post a link to a heavily compressed archive, maybe even 'torrented like another posted suggested.
