I recently bought the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop (the keyboard-only model isn't available locally, down here in NZ) to replace my old Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, and I think it's been one of the worst purchases I've made in some time. In their defense, the main keyboard is actually very nice to type on, and the separate numeric keypad is nifty.
But. You're stuck if you want the standard cursor + home block keys layout. And I hope you like having substandard buttons (which wobble, and sometimes need to be pressed twice to register) replacing the function keys. And hopefully you didn't use the programmable or media buttons on the NEK4000 - the included toggle switch is a band-aid on a bad design decision. (Incidentally, I couldn't use the included mouse for any length of time without noticeable discomfort, as the way my little finger splays outwards (even at rest) meant it was continually dragging along the tabletop no matter how I held the mouse - the downside to an ergonomic design is when you don't quite fit within the parameters for which it was designed.)
I've just gone back to my NEK, and while it feels like typing on marshmellows in comparison, the decisions they made in order to reduce the number of keys (and keyboard size) have left the Sculpt keyboard as something of a lame duck for my purposes.
It's interesting that while 8.1 is around 10%-ish, 8 is still about 5%. Considering 8.1 is a free update for registered copies of 8, how many of the un-updated copies of 8 are pirated versions?
The point is, none of the funding bodies wants to pay the extremely large sums required for *real* nutritional science, so researchers make do with lots of observational studies and a lot of data massaging that will get treated as SCIENCE by an uncritical and generally scientifically-illiterate press, and by not rocking the boat by coming out with articles that challenge the status quo, they're able to continue to receive funding.

Please bear in mind that HFCS (in mainstream use) is either 55% Fructose/42% Glucose (used mainly in drinks) or 42% Fructose/53% Glucose (typically used in food and baked goods). Table sugar consists of Sucrose, which when absorbed by the body breaks down into 50% Fructose/50% Glucose.
Any difference between the two is a matter of marketing.
Your book looks interesting, and what better place to self-advertise than in a discussion about self-publishing? (Plus you might have a new reader, and customer, in a few more pages)
Or, judging by their recent behaviour, they'd simply lower the bar for approval even further so as to improve their throughput without the need to hire more staff.
I experienced the same thing about a month back, when I initially gave the trial a play (nice game, and the trial zones were comparatively well populated), then picked up a cheap box copy and moved from a lively game to a ghost-town. The first non-starter zone I visited had, for a good part of the time I was there, no other players in that zone.
I cancelled my sub after only a week and left feedback that the game, as it stood, wasn't worth a subscription with its current population levels.
The only updated to the graphic engine that's expected is improved water shaders for cataclysm. It has better multicore support now, but don't expect it to max them out (or even to come close).
You say that like humanity has demonstrated much in the way of sanity lately... (Sure, there may be the occasional sane person, but as a group people have seldom been known for their firm grasp on reality)
And don't think the rights-holders won't try brain scanners, especially if they can manipulate the public into accepting it as a fair and reasonable way to enable them to protect their monopolies.
Actually we must not say that the fivers are wrong because THEY hate for their god to be contradicted. Their god hasn't commented on the issue personally.

I think you mean "Monetize everything"
Since when did "stupid" stop anyone?

Arrive? Return, you mean.
They've already done something about these people. They've voted for them.
I believe they mean that only the version sold on gog.com will be DRM-free. The versions from other distributors will have some form of DRM.
It was great before it became a brand.

The parent post has a good suggestion; the three stooges after a weekend bender.
Ship? I thought they sold them?

In my experience, if AVG was to find 2 additional files on a system scanned with MSE I'd expect them to be false positives.
And yet they'll be charging full price for the physical media.

It's WoW; you come for the good ideas, and stay for the bugs.

That's curious; I use Opera over FF because NoScript is too hard to configure for a site compared to Opera's equivalent, for my taste at least.
