    If you experienced how subway/train 'boarding' works in Japan, you have to wonder why this efficiency isn't possible with westerners.
    Maybe it's the "me is more important than you all" attitude...

    AFAIK LCARS displays have a taktile feedback. Which is done by small forcefields...

    I'm so glad that thinkpads never had those horrible "glare" displays... I buy a notebook to travel with it, where the lighting conditions are mostly not ideal. Thinkpads with non-reflecting displays and ThinkLight where always my favourite... I hope that this won't change soon...

    I know this is meant to be funny, but I doubt you could get 257 keyboards in reception range of one receiver, even if you stack as dense as you could... The interesting question here is: "Which key can I use for my connection?" when multiple keyboards are in range. Is there some kind of handshake protocol, or just "lucky guesses"?

    Very well made!

    I'd love to see a little circuit board wich has an USB hub and a USB to parallel or serial (like PL2303HX) converter.

    You could integrate such neat mods into USB devices without needing to use a specially made cable. Would be nice for poor 'legacy free' people.

    No, it only takes more dedication and love for detail.

    Skill and ability would be needed to add some circuitry (perhaps some Atmel uC) and a detachable cable, so that you can switch the thing to be either used as a cool retro looking MP3 player OR for its original use (with detachable cable)

    Hm... strangely I now have the urge to look for a NES controller at eBay...

    Come on... Everyone can rip apart a cheap MP3 USB stick, an old NES Controller, and solder the things together...

    It would be slightly cooler, if he:
    - installed the stick in an way so that the display could be seen through a nicely cut opening between the buttons an the d-pad
    - remove the USB connector and
    - created a little circuit board that would have:
    -- the button contacts
    -- an opening to hold the battery
    -- a mini USB jack for easy access from the outside
