    Yeah, waiting in line like that is pretty obessive. I was referring to that statement more along the lines of someone who thinks they're above someone because they hate so and so company and tend to call other consumers sheep.

    First of all, there's no point where this is considered dangerous yet. None of them have caught fire and burned down a church full of orphans. And you don't have to tolerate it either. If you don't think the trade off between entertainment and poor design is worth it, don't spend the money. But don't think you're superior to other people who feel the system is worth it. PS I don't own a 360 because I don't want one yet.

    They just don't feel the same for the most part, mainly because they're just trying to imitate things you couldn't do in real life easily instead of letting you do things you could never do in real life at all.

    I like DM because I don't play FPS online enough to have a steady group all the time, or even a tenth of the time. I'd rather just kill them all and have my own skills be the judge on whether I win or lose. Depending on some 14 year old to finish the match before his mom makes him go eat dinner is not my idea of fun.

    For the first time in a long time, the final version of the game was first played by the people who bought it, not the pirates. No security is completely foolproof, but I think that's about as close as you can get these days.

    I used to work at Sprint PCS. For the record, an "update" with a two hour call back time means the entire system crashed and their trying to bring it back up. Nice to see things haven't changed since I left.

    But you forget the numberone Slashdot rule: Microsoft is evil. They could spend money on helping a near extinct species regain it's numbers and be accused of wanting to raise said animal back to healh to use it in a super army to take over the world.

    Do we stage races between machines and humans? No, we race machines against (similar) machines and humans against humans, and nobody feels shame because some machine can run faster.

    Don't worry, eventually Fox will get ahold and change that. Ever since I saw little people against an elephant nothing will shock me anymore.

    I work at Sprint PCS so I'm not getting into the argument about coverage. Each carrier works better in different areas, none are perfect nation wide. As far as towers go the majority of the time there are zoning regulations that have to be worked out. From the concept of knowing where to put a tower to the actual construction being finished it takes 18 months, and most of that time is legal procedures. Many communites don't like the way a cell tower looks, coverage be damned.

    Not to come off as a personal attack or anything, but do you avoid service with anyone who does direct mailings (junk mail)? It's pretty much the same thing. Another form of advertising to get word out.
