I'm behind a router and natted. But everything is configured and ports are forwarded. I made some tests using different clients and they showed a healty connection. Unfortunately I couldn't, even one time, catch the speed I get from a ftp server. Bittorent never worked for me.
Oh, and the torrent linked to in the article doesn't seem to work anyway. It was working when the article hit the front page. Now the tracker can not be found. Damn, I only had 588 hours left.
so if you're only upping at 1k/s you won't be downloading that fast Don't worry. I'm uploading at 5k/s and downloading at 1k/s. You max out your download speed and I max out my upload speed. That is what I call "sharing".
However, if I boot with a USB mouse plugged in, the touchpad stops working Did you check your bios settings? On my Inspiron there was an option like "disable touchpad if mouse is detected".
We don't edukate our kids. Are you using KDE by any chance?

It's that place on the other side of the window by your desk. What is that "window" thing you are talking about?
Be sure to update to 2.4.23 *immediately* after installation!!! No need to. My uname -r gives; 2.4.21-0.26mdk and all of the security patches are applied to this by Mandrake. It is technically not the latest kernel but as secure as it is.
Thunderbird is really very stable. I have been using it since 0.2a as my main e-mail software. (Including all the nightly builds.) I can't think how stable 1.0 will be. Just give it a try. You'll like it.
I clicked but I got this; "Sorry, links to Bugzilla from Slashdot are disabled." Is this a joke?
or myrealbox.com?
But there is a new law called "AMD".
I'm fed up with Red Hat! They are trying to be the Microsoft of open source and behaving like that. For me, there is no sympathy left to Red Hat. Please Netcraft; confirm that Redhat is dying. ;)
They both cost money.
Just copy the isos to their own partition on hard disk. Then use a boot disk to start the installation. (You can find the boot image in the first cd.)
