Why don't they just record everything in a digital format, then ftp the freakin things? DivX would be great solution here. I'm pretty sure that the US Ships have Internet access on board. I'm sure that there is a way to increase the quality of the films, and stream line the process. However, I'm not going to waste anymore of my time here. No one is going to take any of these suggestions, there all watching shitty videos on the news...;P
It's funny. You'll see all of the boxes that have their clocks set way off. They'll jump the gun, and we can sit back, behind our Apache boxes and giggle.
A year ago, they didn't have enough space. Now they have plenty. I hope they can survive this, as they really do a great job. They route a TON of traffic, and this would really disrupt quite a large number of people. Anyone else here ever spend hours on end in the ice cold Waltham IDC?
Uh... What about a CDPD PCMCIA modem. It works like a charm. I love the IPAQ, and with the CDPD card, and a citrix server, I can run any app from anywhere...
I have been worried about these issues. However, where should we really draw the line. I'm worried that our country may be willing to give up some of our rights, for a false sense of security. How would the face recognition software help? If it's deployed widely, then they will just get around it. If you can't get through an airport without being "scanned", then they will just find other ways to enter the country. Would this really be worth it? I'm not sure the solution for this problem will be easy, but the general public is looking for a fast fix. It will be interesting to watch what happens over the next few months.
Can you suggest any site, that have DVD ripping instructions? The only ones I have found are for DivX, and seem quite tedious. I'ld like to ripp some, so that when I fly out to AR I can watch a few Sopranos. Then again, who knows if the airlines will even be flying then...
I'm not sure how to take this comment. Bush hasn't done anything wrong yet. I don't really understand why anyone would be giving him a hard time. I happened to fully agree with his current game plan. Also, the White House is controlling everything that's going to the media right now. I think they're doing a great job so far. They have yet to officially blame anyone yet, and the FBI, ATF, MassPort, US Marshall Service, US Attorney General, and about every other know law enforcement agency has jumped on board to try and find out who exactly is to blame. I'm sure the majority of American's are convinced that it was a certian Saudi who's haggin out in Afganistan, but until they know for sure the White House hasn't made a statement about it.
Wow, has any other company ever done this before? This is a great idea, and I use the software anyway. It's funny that a GNU based software developer would basically pay you to find bugs, but you have to pay M$ to get betas of their software...
Wouldn't the rocketman be able to use this? He could use some really good super glue, and some tnt, and get to space with having to build that damn "home made" rocket. Maybe, I'll by it, and beat him up there.
I'm not sure why the media picks up certian things, and totally ingores others. Until the geeks/techs out there get some type of organization to represent us to the media, this stuff will continue to happen. This all leads back to Dmitry, and the lack of coverage there. If there were some semi-intelligent reporters out there, they'ld be reading slashdot to get their stories...
First of all, this ISP won't give out any info on their customers. Unless, you pursue this through legal channels. Secondly, most ISP's use PRI's and the caller ID info comes along the pipe. So chances are the ISP has their phone number in their Radius logs already...
I would contact your local PD, and do a little investigating on your own. First, I'm assuming that he configured his own mail account on the computer. If you have his name, try locating him. Then late at night, sneak into his home, and steal everything back. Leave a note, saying that he was too stupid to be able to keep the computer. Then poop on his rug for taking your beer. Oh, don't forget to unplug your VCR, that will really piss him off.
Best of luck to you. This guys should also get extra time for stupidity.
Why is it that our voices are never heard by our politicians? I've emailed mine on many occasions, and it seems that things will never change. This isn't really something I would like to see happen. I'ld rather Microsoft was left alone, so that when Linux beats the pants off of them, they can't blame anyone. I'm ranting now, but I'm just fed up with our government. When will our respresentatives begin to represent what we want, and not what some corporation, or their personal agenda dictates...
Unfortunately I've spent many nights there in the past. I can confirm their remarks about Cisco support. It's usually fantastic! Lucent should take a few pointers from them, especially the guys in their INS group. They did forget to mention the security there. If you're not in the Exodus database, you won't get past the little lobby with the bullet proof glass. You've gotta use your proximity card like six times just to go to the bathroom!
Why hasn't someone else done something like this? I would pay whatever it cost to get even an 8MB L1 & L2 Cache. Anyone want to make me one?

That was due to the fact that he won't be able to get laid at prom. ;-P

You can get a pill now that kills these things. I heard that they can grow in your stomach. They were like worms or something.

Is this some jab at my height?! This used to always happen in high school, it's not my fault the hormone shots didn't work!
I realized that the shuttle was a model. I was making a weak attempt at being funny. It won't happen again.

I was looking forward to this, and by putting it off, our expectations are now even higher. It better not suck. Too bad Trinity won't be in it.
At first I thought Cell had come back to life in DBZ. The topics switching from Anime to biology are way too confusing!
Don't put a burnt CD in there from Europe. It could disrupt the entire Grid! Then the flux capacitor could blow!
I'm not familiar with European copyright laws, but I would amagine that this isn't going over too well. Any lawsuits start as a result of this?

It's nice to see that this was resolved out of court. I'm sure we will be seeing more of this in the future...
But, Japan also has the highest suicide rate of any nation...
I think you should check your spelling as well. I must confess, I'm using Microsoft Money.
