The problem is with the interface. Why hasn't anyone done a frontend for apache's http.conf. PLEASE MOD ME ACCORDINGLY (Praying it will be redundant, so at least I can tell if there is a GUI solution to http.conf)
The U.S. analog television system supports a "second audio program" or SAP channel. Why can't CN negotiate a contract to air the original Japanese audio on the SAP channel, so that viewers can turn on SAP and captions to get a subtitled version?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the SAP shared with the stereo soundtrack? So you can have 2 mono soundtracks or just one stereo? This doesn't apply to DVD, only broadcast.
With all of our devices modulating on Channel 3 or 4, will the FCC tamper with those frequencies or are they going to take them for digital use as well?
I have seen people praising AMD for not having DRM, and these people seem to forget about AMD's Presidio which is the same as LaGrange, which is the same stuff Intel is doing with these mobos...
these prorams, and not one has managed to make a file the PSP will recognize as anything but "corruped data."
From what I read on the net, the Sony PSP will not let you play a video with a bigger resolution than 320x240 via memory stick. UMD video discs do NOT have this limitation. Try resizing the video to this resolution and let us know if it works...
The coral cache is working. By the way, add this bookmark as one of your favorites, and from now on, everytime you get an error message *AND* the URL does not change, choose the bookmark to "coralize" it (NOTE DO THIS IN ONE LINE!):
I have a question about firefox (and this happened while I tried to get the coral link): Why when you are looking at your bookmarks and right click on them, the next time you select the bookmarks menu it doesn't show up?
Acutally, because they paid a nice chunk of money into the 2 page ad, the paper is more than happy to do an article about it. This usually happens with new "clients" in every single newspaper, be it large or small.
However, I had a small computer business and we called the local newspaper and a reporter took a picture of the place and wrote an article about it. Usually this gives the business a "break" to actually have a few customers and cash flow coming, then morally, you should place an ad in the newspaper, benefiting both you and the paper. Unfortunately business didn't do well so we didn't place the ad. But yes, if you have a business it does make sense to call your local paper and talk about it. Either they will write about and you benefit from it or you place an ad and the paper, since you are giving them some business and you are the new kid on the block, they are more than willing to help you. That way, you make more $$$ resulting in you placing more ads. Doesn't that make sense?
If you like Vorbis for whatever reason, that's fine... use it in good health, but don't piss in my ears and tell me it's raining. It's always stunning how political motivation can change the "facts".
I challenge you to grab a vorbis encoder and from an original source, encode to 45kbps with it and also mp3, wma and any other codecs you know, and then YOU tell us which one sounds best.
Say what? Mod this troll down! The PSX SPU is the superset of the SNES APU (and it's an SPC-700). It has 24 hw voices, 512K of ram, 3:1 to 4:1 ADPCM compression. It is *way* superior, and it seems like you haven't heard stuff on PSX like Wild Arms where back in the day you could swear it was the cd playing instead of the internal chip!
You have a point. Assuming that 131072 Kbytes are allocated (128MB) and assuming it stores ct-ACC at 8Kbytes/sec, it would yield about 4 and a half Hrs, or almost 5 hours.
If bandwidth is becoming a problem with all these channels, change the technology. Put an MP3Pro-like encoder on it...newer units sound crystal clear again and older units sound the same
Funny you mention that. The encoder technology on XM actually uses an mp3pro-like approach. You can tell when the sound gets "muffled" for about half a second while driving under a small bridge. And yes, I read it is 96kbps per channel, except on those "weather and sport event" channels (which is why you can hear a "nasal" effect on the girl that announces that the game/event has not yet started)
Wow, Weird Al would be in trouble. I mean, he does make a lot of songs himself, but must be most well-known for his parodies.
From what I have read right here on/., Al always requests permission from the original artists he is paroding. He has a legal dept team that takes care of that!
This format uses a red laser for tracking, so the tracks can't really be packed closer together than on a DVD; and anyway the big boost in data density comes from the holographic technology, which packs more data per linear unit, but does not pack it in a narrower space.
So...assuming 256 "layers" or "states" of data per same DVD density and surface, that's 256*4.7GB=1.203 TB?
the problem by selling those screen protector transparent stickers. Why can't that be used on the nano instead?

The Playstation can't even begin to match it.

Copying the URL into google search and clicking on the first search item usually works too.
if only slashcode could be modified so only people who actually clicked on the article are allowed to post...

Scroll down, there is an AMD2100+ complete system. Keyboard and mouse too! $105. I know >$100 but sell the keyboard/mouse for $5 to make it even!
Actually, after a few minutes of googling, I stand corrected. XM uses AAC with SBR at 64kbps. The "SBR" part is what makes it "mp3pro-like".
If bandwidth is becoming a problem with all these channels, change the technology. Put an MP3Pro-like encoder on it...newer units sound crystal clear again and older units sound the same

It will be fun to see the next generation of digital imagery with 500+ dpi displays. maybe someday.

Well...all they have to do is have some modifying code like CGI-Proxy does....
