Never allow access to PROD. They will do their testing in PROD, then "promote" those changes to DEV.
Seen it a million times.
Have a QA/Test instance, script a nightly LUN snapshot from PROD, and let 'em have at it.
And we are killing off a whole range of biological diversity.
> 99% of all species that have existed on this planet are now extinct. Do you actually have a point, or just engaging in hyperbole? (Hint: I know the answer)
But Andy, evil Apple and their control freakery have not deleted any Apps from anyone's phones. Not a one. But Good-Guy-Google has. Still, never forget, Apple SUCKS, and Google will do no evil...
You know what? You're just flat out wrong about Apple's target customer. They target individuals (as opposed to corporations), period.
Speaking from personal experience with family, friends and co-workers, nearly none of them fit into your market of "yuppies, hipsters and wanabe cool middle-aged moms". You're just scared or jealous of using a platform that works elegantly, which is simply ridiculous. Again, in my experience, there is one type of person that will *never* be an Apple customer: the cheapskate who will sacrifice functionality and usability for a savings of a few percent...
Not to worry, they will learn the hard way during a failure when kilo- or mega-$ are lost. Then you'll get your scheduled outages:)...and some middle management will get new jobs
>>You might care if the books you read and the things you highlight come up at your next security clearance interview.
A security clearance interview? You really need to find another industry to work in. If I hear one more douche use clearance as an excuse for anything, I'll, well, I'll laugh at them like I always do.
>>...And, down the road, maybe you just don't fit in to that condo you want to buy, maybe you'll wonder why and where they got their data.
Yeah, that's illegal and you'd have good ammo for a lawsuit! Free money!
>>And these were all college/university graduates.
What does that even mean? That they're supposed to be smart, like you are, and therefore think the same things that you do? Do you want to know why academic-type are thought of as douche-bags by the general public? Because they think and say thing like this: And these were all college/university graduates.
As though that implies intelligence. Try gullibility.
If you have a set of insulated alligator clips wired together, cut it in half, solder in a 1 or 2 watt 200K resistor and insulate it...heat shrink tubing works great (as long as you remember to slip it on *before* you solder the resistor in place.
Then clip across the cap terminals to drain....depending on size & voltage it'll take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. When working w/large values/high voltage electrolytics, double-checking with a multimeter is a must....
Is there anything you can't (claim to) do?

Isn't that the sort of behavior that started this mess?
I'd guess it's more like 1% use a different 5% of Office features, and 99% use the same 5%.

Protip: Use of "Protip" just makes you look like an arrogant, douchebag fuckwit who gets off on gloating over others about how smart you are ;)
Did you get in car, and drive on road, to get to hospital?
>>Sounds to me like Jobs just got trolled hard. 10/10 for Ryan Tate.
Sounds to me like Slashdotters just got trolled hard. 10/10 for kdawson.
So you're saying there's some sort of... conspiracy?

Get your servers some remote access cards & save yourself a drive to the dc to press a power button ;)
Who mods this shit up?

Awwww, look at the cute little cynical nerd & how he rails against THE MAN. How original.

That's a great concept actually, the YouKILL.com part that is. After that, you sort of lost focus as your liberal/paranoid streak took hold...
A++++ comedy! Would read again!
Is that in reference to the morality clause in the BSD license? No? Then it's IRRELEVANT. Get it?
...but....hope....and change....sniff...HE PROMISED ME!!!
Just another tool in a suit
Yeah, but were they *evil* robots?
