Agreed. Simply putting a computer in a classroom has no effect. Without incorporating it's use as part of the curriculum, what is most likely to happen is that it will sit there unused. There also has to be the support in place to maintain them.
No red tape, no bureaucratic processes, no politics, no concern about being polite and correct about everything. Also, no customer support. It's a wonder what you can accomplish by not giving a shit who you inconvenience. Just get the job done well enough that it works.
The next day, userx who has a little bit of know-how has gone home renamed said.exe file to.ex!, comes into work the next day, copies it to his desktop, renames it again, runs it and infects himself.
There might be some concern about pulling off the velco and having it tear the suit. The tearing sound of velcro would freak me right the hell out during a spacewalk!
I think the idea here is that you're placing your support behind the option you think would be most beneficial to you and hopefully others. Other wise the very rich could buy up all the votes. Oh, right. Never mind.
Applications were unfrozen. This doesn't mean anything more that shutting up all those who complained. Apply all you want, doesn't mean your application is going anywhere.
You're assuming that it *will* improve, and you are also assuming that the TOS will not change. But what's to worry about, Microsoft wouldn't do that would they?
Let's not forget the other important aspect of this competition; the award is also for the most "production ready" car. COming up with a 100MPG car is one thing, but make it inexpensive enough to mass produce is the real objective here.
Funny maybe, but that would be a good thing no? We want more people using Linux no? Isn't that what we're all pushing for all the time? Or are we now going to be elitist about it?
For all the liberties that have been removed, how exactly have any of the new "security" measures helped prevent any threat coming from outside the country. Anyone intent on doing harm, will find a way through. Terrorism indeed, the U.S. (government that is) is truly terrified. The bad guys are winning.
What office are you in? Stop by and say hi some time, maybe we can do lunch.
