This just reinforces my theory that Google is actually a group of alien insurgents, and I don't mean the kind from Canada. I WON'T BE SILENCED GOOGLE!!!! HOW DOES THE COMMON COLD FEEL! HA!
P.S. I'm sorry, please don't make me your human pet.
I'd like to start accepting bets for when civilization will end. You can pick any day and any amount, just pay me up front and if the world ends on your day you'll be very rich indeed.
There's one big difference as to why there is such outcry about the Italian ordeal and why there is much less about the goings on in the US. In italy, the government is persecuting it's own people for their gain. Here in the US, Bush is persecuting another country for his gain. Putting Bush in office was like putting a kid in charge of a candy store, much as is the situation, apparently, in Italy. I think it's only a matter of time before we're pushed too far and start pushing back. Together we can be the most powerful force in the world, and no army can hold us back. For what army, in place to protect the people, would turn against them to protect the beaurocrats that run this country from their corporate office and lobbyists. We need to cleanse the politics of this world, and only we can do it. The coruption must end.
Damaging property with no due process and being guilty until proven innocent (if they even give you the chance). Let's just face it, with this administration corporations can get away with murder.
Unless you're willing to sacrifice their intelligence. I speak from experience. I was very gifted in my younger life, perfect grades, high IQ, always the teachers favorite, but once I lost my virginity and became aware of the social heirarchy I was unwillingly doused with in highschool my grades began sinking along with my overall intelligence. Infact I even started off in a computer engineering major in college, but have now decided to switch to... INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS!!!
What he's saying is that the vulnerability is discovered within microsoft and no one knows about it until the patch is released, thus creating the security risk. But don't blame yourselves... they write code in just as confusing a fashion.
This may seem kind of odd, but i never receive spam. I have two hotmail accounts and one University account. I just make sure to either supply a bogus e-mail or opt out of any special offers, relying on my own witt to save money when I want to buy something rather than buying something simply because it's on sale and thinking I saved money by spending.
I find that the searchv.com hijack has been the worst i've encountered. It continually reset my homepage from/. to some searchv.com crap. I decided to do a little research and found via internic that it was registered to some asshole from gaza. Removal was a huge hastle, had to manually uninstall dll's and remove 20+ registry values.Infuriated, frustrated, and feeling vulnerable I wonder what can be done to stop this. I equate it to someone coming into my house, repainting my walls and putting decals on my windows and mirrors. How can this be legal? It most certainly isn't ethical. I payed for my computer, what gives anyone else the right to abuse it?
I don't know if anyone noticed, but for a defense contractor, regardless of the NY offices(responsible for NATO/Allied Export Sales operations, they have another office in MN for the US ops. and it's a shack...
Well, I guess being a first semester calculus student didn't help me there. And by the way, let's try to keep a less condescending and judgemental tone when critiquing someone's post, though i thank you for the input.
Quite frankly anyone trying to take a moral standpoint about this war is a hypocrite. We are the United States of American, the super-power of the world. Whether this war is about national security, oil, or humanitarian efforts for the people of iraq should make no difference.
If you really think about it, if this war were for oil, the conspiracy theory, then how many americans would, on a mass scale, want our oil prices to sky rocket, economy to crash, and ultimately degrade their standard of living for a country of people and leaders that are a constant thorn in our sides, rumored of harboring terrorists and weapons of mass destruction? Very few. At this point, with our economic future looking bleak, oil prices around $0.50 a gallon and increased production needs, allowing for more military and civilian jobs, sounds good to me. War is exactly what's in our best interest.
I do not believe Bush to be a great man/ president, because I do not think that he is the only one behind this. In our government today there is such a mesh of power that one cannot possibly believe Bush is the only one behind this.
I digress, this war is justified. Though it may not be a warm, fuzzy, teddy bear of a cause, nothing in this world is. We as a race must come to terms with our existence as a species stagnating on our laurels at the jaws of hippy liberals that think all humans deserve the right to live and reproduce. This is not the case, our eyes are shaded into thinking we are something more than highly developed monkeys on this earth to ensure that the stronger of our seed survive and that our traits be passed on.
Actually i think what ungrounded was saying is quite a bit more logical than the idea that space goes on forever, unless human perception is entirely flawed. Think of a set of numbers ( our universe) well it can always be contained in a larger set, but what about an infinite set ( an infinite amount of space) wouldn't it have to be contained in some sort of abstract concept of our cosmos? But as hard as i try to imagine something without end, I can't because everything we(I) can imagine must be contained within something else, and thus forth contained in something else, but then i get into this logic bomb of some infinite chain of containment. However, what can contain something infinite? The answer to that is NOTHING. So, if we cannot imagine a cosmos that is finite then we must exist in nothing... But nothing can exist in nothing, thus we are nothing...
I haven't read the novel yet but I do believe it is refering to the exact moment that Prime Intellect took over. Sounds to me, though, the Prime Intellect doesn't really know what the hell it's doing and that it doesn't fully understand harm and the psychological implications of this so called society. To think that an AI that is only aware of physical harm and capable of overtaking the human race is a little ridiculous.
If you really delve into what an AI is then you would predict it would be primarily psychological and only then would the AI be able to comprehend physical harm as it doesn't have any ways of relating to true physical harm. That is of course unless it has some sort of sensory feedback incorporated with an affinity for not pain.
Seems to me I recall a show on the discovery channel or in some backwater of a biology course I took that linked the degredation of telemer chains on the ends of chromosomes to the effects of aging. I wonder if perhaps taking the chromosomes from the original sheep, with depleted telemers, caused Dolly to age faster than a sheep with a newer supply. If anyone can substantiate this claim lemme know.
Oh yeah, aight. Aight, I put on my robe and wizard hat. http://www.bash.org/?104383/

Lawyers really are the source of all evil.

1. You like gaming.
2. She likes talking.
3. She's going to a university nowhere near you.
4. She's a woman.
I wouldn't go through so much effort. Even if you stay together, she'll have cheated on you by the end of this weekend.

Darl,
Keep up the good work buddy. The check is in the mail.

Bill
Shove it.

Has anyone else noticed this profound lack of morality and integrity in our society of late?

I wonder if this much attention was given to Robert Deniro's great dark spot when it was first discovered...
I am still a teenager and i am still obsessed with the basic concept... :: sigh ::

Seems to me that this is the second artical with flagrant gramatical errors. Maybe the lime light ain't so good for the nerd culture.
