I noticed this too, and was startled! I made a thread on the Open the Web MyOpera forums about it. http://my.opera.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threa did=33322
I'm throwing away a mod point by posting this, but it's at +5 now anyway.
Haha! You almost made me choke on my cookie!:-) I've got the administrator password on the computers at my school... Think I might do this on the Terminal Server.
It also has AAC support. AAC sounds okay even at 64 kbps, good at 96, and great at 128. It can be nice not to have to carry a watch, phone, MP3 player, scheduler and camera. With this phone, you get it all in one bundle. My old 3310 has the watch, phone and scheduler, but I still have to carry my 32 gram MP3 player, and I don't have a camera. Meh.
AAC kicks OGG's ass, anyway. Who cares if it's not open-source?

I think this was the interesting bit:
But the process still had some hurdles to get over, Mr. Bernoff admitted. Recently he was discussing his research with an executive at a media organization that has been very aggressive about trying to discourage file-sharing. When Mr. Bernoff asked the executive how he had gotten the report, which Forrester [the organization at which Bernoff works,] sells for $895, the man hesitated.
I got an IBM Aptiva in '99 with a 15" monitor and 1024x768 default resolution. So, er, I guess this would at least be common these days..
Where can you get 15"s these days, though? All the stores here have stopped selling them, except for LCDs. 'Course, that won't come with a $300 computer anyway.
Don't forget Opera's user-specified style sheets. Can easily get a white-on-black screen with only text at 20 px height, which is actually very comfortable to read. I use this feature on poorly designed web pages.
Why do I never have mod points when I need them? PLEASE, someone mod the parent post up. It is a FACT that it is very often EASIER to pirate than to buy legally. Myself, I've got legal copies of Nero, PowerDVD and other programs, but I pirate them because it's easier.
Yes, the power supply can be quite noisy. However, I've also found that my Creative GeForce 4 Ti4400 is quite noisy in my case. I've got a very quiet CPU fan, and I pulled out my HDDs for a little listening test. I have a fairly large case, and when leaning down, I could easily tell that the most noise came from the graphics card. I could really recognize that particular noise.
Meh. I'm getting one of those iBook G3s without fans... Sick and tired of being surrounded by so much noise.
I've been messing with this at small, private (2-3 person) LAN parties where I'm the only real knowledgeable computer person, and there are a couple of things I do:
Turn off "simple file sharing" in View-Folder Options-View (I found that when this is on, I can't select a user name when logging into a computer. Although Windows didn't tell me to, I had to reboot after untoggling this for it to work)
Turn off the Guest account
Make a limited account with a user name that has a capital first letter, and a password (for some reason, it didn't work with a user name in lower case)
Have the computers in the same workgroup
Not sure if all the steps are needed, but it's what we do, and it works. Copied 4.6 gigs of pr0n from a friend's computer after setting that up as late as on Sunday, with both computers running XP. With those settings, I was also able to access the files with smbclient on Linux.
Actually, I got a P2 266 MHz running Windows 2000 to play DivX 5.02 at 11 fps... Sure, the videos were really 29.97 fps, but still... On my Athlon XP 1600+, I can play these videos with the Windows task manager telling me it's only using 10-20% of the CPU.
I really like your "Penis extensions that really work?" question; the modern society's cosmetic expectations, such as for white teeth, is as silly as men's worry about not having a big enough penis. Damn. You really hit the matter right-on; it's not only off-topic for Slashdot; it's an extremely stupid thing to worry about.

The price cut was enough. IIRC, sales quadrupled. Go figure. :)
IIRC, Tolkien knew ahead what was going to happen in LOTR, but The Hobbit was written as he, well, wrote it.
Nah. CS teacher and I are buddies, and he's got a sense of humor. So it should be all right...

Router: 10.0.0.1
Me: 10.0.0.2
Mother's PowerBook: 10.0.0.49
Father's PowerBook: 10.0.0.50
A friend when we're having a LAN: 10.0.0.3
Friend 2: 10.0.0.4
Friend 3: 10.0.0.5.
Er. Exciting, isn't it? Guess I better turn off the karma bonus.
There are different customization options for different machines. Would guess some other machine was more customizable.
No, what you do is move everything to the right side of the monitor, and effectively only use the left half for applications...
%51 for NO and 49% for YES now. Seems your theory is incorrect.
Excuse me, what on earth does "EBKAC" mean? Who comes up with all these stupid acronyms?
As if that wasn't enough, I am also thorougly offended by your blatant attempt to disguise your pyramid scheme referral program in your sig.
This is off-topic, but I am disappointed, as the actual content of your posts seems somewhat intelligent.

Yeah, when you have a monopoly, you can charge double rent for all the areas in one color, and even BUILD HOUSES!

Wow. That looks like a dude with a skullcap. Nice work!

Oops, should have previewed; messed up a link tag. Here's the site I was trying to link to: The original Neverwinter Nights.
