"Personally, I am more concerned with why I can't send mail to anyone using AOL/Walmarts ISP: wmconnect.com . "
let me clarify this sentence; When I send mail, using MSN SMTP servers, I get the following:
----
Reporting-MTA: dns;cpimssmtpd03.email.msn.com
Received-From-MTA: dns;smlaptop
Arrival-Date: Wed, 10 Oct 2001 17:38:25 -0700
Final-Recipient: rfc822;user@wmconnect.com
Action: failed
Status: 4.4.7
Final-Recipient: rfc822;user@wmconnect.com

Status: 4.4.7

Now, when I use sendmail it works fine; messages get through. When I use my work smtp, it also works fine. ONLY MSN blocks it. Conspiracy? I think so...
I guess i should clarify that the DSL was rolled out 10 months ago...ETC takes a loss on the modems (efficient speedstreams we sell at $99) and charges the customer only $49.95 per month for 768/384 and $69.99 for 1.5/384 w/ a static IP.
The profit will take about 5 years it is estimated.
In Ellijay,GA, the local phone company offers DSL to 95% of it's customers.
We're talking in the mountains too folks!
Over 18,000 voice lines, 105 wire centers; they've converted hundreds of miles of copper to fiber, and are considering cable tv over fiber next year.
And nearly EVERY customer has DSL access.
The company spent about 1.5 million to make it happen, and customers get speeds up to 1.5mbs; they've yet to make a profit on the DSL, but, the customers are happy and are eating it up.
My point: if a small company can do it, in rough and nonlinear terrain ANY company should be able to follow suit.
Screaming broadband is dead is ludicrous.

No one has announced the location of 175.
Images of the Pentagon show NO debris that looks plane related. If it were 175, why hasn't that been announced?
What happens in America, especially events such as these, affect the 'world' as you know it, like it or not.
Just as events in Japan and Germany and the USSR affected the 'world'.
Stop trying to be politically correct and look around you...things are going to change, and whether it affects you financially, physically or via the web, it WILL trickle down to whatever hole you live in.
Are you kidding? I can't tell...I hope so, because these two things, as well as the incredibly poor navigation, fonts and colors, make this a horrid website. Almost as bad as this one.

At Chilliware [www.Chillliware.net], (before we went bankrupt due to incredibly poor management) all of our developers were located abroad, including:
*110 programmers in Yerevan [Former Boomerang employees, formed as 'Chilli Technologies]
*The 400+ employees of MoreLinux (which also went under due to Chilliwares poor management practices). They performed web duties for LinuxOnly.com and Chilliware.net.
It was a freaking nightmare, with employees waiting weeks for pay, supplies and feedback.
Of course, alot of that had to do with Chilliwares incredibly poor management.
By now, the screenshot on the left side probably has you quite geared up - and you're dying to know why it looks so fancy if Pocket PC 2002 isn't supposed to be all that. Well, the truth is that this screenshot is not taken from Pocket PC 2002, but instead is an XP skin running on top of Snoopsoft's Dashboard application which alters not only the appearance but also the function of the Today screen of the Pocket PC OS. The Dashboard skin is created by web designer Ard-Jan Barnas, and additionally, a free application called wisBar adds functionality to the title bar.
And the reason for why we've mislead you a bit? Well, this is how we - and probably numerous others - would like Pocket PC 2002 to look, with increased functionality compared to the Today screen as it is today. Hopefully, Pocket PC 2002 will have this kind of functionality built-in, but it's hard to say exactly what will be in the new operating system as Microsoft has done its best to keep the lid on it.
Remember, if you see a trailer with any of the following, it's fake. Trust me...sigh.
*The title: "ep2_large"
*Christopher Walken
*A blonde girl with a lightsaber
*Dozens of Braveheart actors carrying photoshopped lightsabers.
*Merv Griffin
*Gabriel Byrne
*Jackie Collins
*John Grisham
*VC Andrews
*Cmdr. Taco
*Jon Katz

Simple Solution:
For the SMTP server, use:
"macsmtp.email.msn.com"
and your normal user/pass .
They don't have it working right for Mac clients; tada.
I've been using this for about 2 months now on my Windows and Linux machines and it works great.

I hate to bring this to light, as the rush of people going to get gas will make it worse, but:
The station I get gas at, 70 miles north of Atlanta was selling unleaded at $1.15 this morning.
As of 6pm,EST, unleaded is now $1.45.
Let the gouging begin.
Letus know how YOUR gas prices are being affected folks...

Expect, within the next 24 hours:
*All Govt services closed
*Limited mobility
*The closing down of all cellular communications
*Limited Internet based communications
*Semi martial law
America is under attack, and the world is NEVER going to be the same.
