Without society, you wouldn't be able to own anything you can't keep by force of arms and threat of violence. Intellectual property doesn't exist without society because it is unnatural.
Guess what? They don't either. Instead of copyrights, we have patents for them that allow them to have their own limited monopoly. There is no natural reason for me to not look at your own invention and not be able to go build one myself if I can figure out how it works. If you were a country and built a new unstoppable superweapons and I snuck a spy in and found out how you built it etc and built my own, would you cry about your natural rights being violated? Thats the way the real world works, patent law and copyright is the mitigating force we apply to it because it better incentivizes the creative process and enriches society as a whole better. It is completely unnatural however, which should not be ignored.
This was not ever the case. Perhaps in the grandparent's experience the salesman and/or manager bundled the service plan. They would do this because it increases their PSP revenue %, which is a major performance index which stores are graded upon. Bundling is actually a no-no at best buy, and is grounds for immediate termination.
Black Isle Studios did not make Baldur's gate. Bioware made baldur's gate and licensed the infinity engine to Black Isle via their then-current publisher Interplay.
You don't seem to quite get it. The companies that transport the stuff pay a tax on the gasoline they use which is use to help subsidize the roads. Do you think they just eat that cost? No, they pass it on to their customers. So yes, you are paying for the roads indirectly.
Well Intel does need to compete with itself and moore's law is something that their engineers try to fulfill but pressure from AMD has increased the speed by which Intel has ramped up the P4. More significantly, it has reduced the prices of these chips due to increased competition.
I think you are romanticizing war in ancient times a little too much. War was almost never honorable combat between two armies who only fought armed foes. Combat has always revolved around people taking what they want from those who already have it and that usually involves killing them so that they are no longer around to complain about it.
AFAIK this is not new at all, Using a non-approved heatsink with a retail AMD CPU has ALWAYS voided the warranty. The OEMs don't have a real warranty to begin with, so they aren't even an issue.

Well, CompactFlash is up to 6GB now, just give them a few years to get affordable at that size.
I've been using the Dlink 660w with my zaurus, works pretty well, good range, though I occasionally have to reboot the pda to reset the wireless network device when switching from different wireless networks(i.e. home and school)
Then again, you'd think the main users of this product, professional lawyers and caseworkers, will still probably purchase access outright as they will be constantly using this information in their work and it would be inconvenient to make a trip to the library each time. The only market they might lose business on is law students, who I assume are as poor as any other student(raises hand, sighs). However, they would more than likely gain revenue by the fact the licensing to all the individual libraries. Maybe they should devise a tiered pricing model for the libraries based on usage.
I am actually considering using that same VIA EPIA setup you mentioned and was thinking about using a CompactFlash with an IDE adapter to boot off of. I was planning on using a trimmed down Linux Kernel and using a RAMDisk of some sort. Any tips or insights on working with this setup? This would also be a specialized setup, so I wouldn't need full PC functionality. Also, what casing are you using and is there a website that you got most of your information from?
Soyo AMD boards aren't all that IMHO. Mine gave me many problems until I finally dumped it. If you are really worried about stability, pick up a board with a AMD 761 chipset(newegg has tons of used ones for around $30 or $40). Not the fastest thing in the world, but still fairly current and they don't seem to even hiccup compared to VIA based boards.
PCI-X isn't finalized yet, I believe, so that's why it hasn't been included. I don't really see what the fuss is about the board. They have had an Athlon board like this with the same tube amp for a while by the same company.
CMOS sensors are just as good as a Bayer CCD sensor on a per megapixel basis, they just haven't been mature enough until very recently to reach higher resolutions(i.e. about a year or two ago, the best color CMOS sensors were only 1.3 megapixels.) Within the next 5 years, they should catch up and eventually surpass Bayer CCD sensors.

No, because the signal isn't optical and thus travels well below the speed of light.
Maybe negative thoughts are simply "louder" than others?

Gosh I remember my first Virge DX. It didn't support any of the 3d APIs, did it?
The CPU packaging is done in Malaysia or Singapore, the actual dies themselves are all fabbed in Dresden, Germany.
You sir, are a fucktard.
It actually can vary from county to county, so that is areasonable argument.(LA county is 8.25%, while Ventura county is somewhat less, for example.)

The Opteron is more scalable(4+way), while the Athlon64 sounds like it will be 2way SMP at best. The Opterons also have more cache.

There is some kind of micro-dot encoding on the CD that the player will look for if it demands that type.
