Google it, there is a solution that works and is reversible. Why don't we have it? Because the entire contraception industry would collapse and I'm sure there is even a decent dose of fear about birth rates plummeting. Major commercial and religious entities at play in making sure you continue to make babies...
You're missing File/Edit/View in Windows Explorer??
I don't think I've used anything in those menus that required accessing that menu item explicitly in years. People that need to use Edit > Copy/Paste from a menu don't deserve new operating systems.
Not only are they out of boxes, but in my area atleast (RDU, NC) they sent out a firmware upgrade the other day and it fried my box. Called tech and they even admitted this was a problem.
so, we're out of boxes AND we're frying them with updates... awesome service.
where the hell is my FTTH service so I can kick TW to the curb????
I read this on my boingboing feed earlier this morning. I'm glad this is getting some attention. Cory was in no way breaking any laws, local or international. I was actually quite mad at this guy for sending this crap email, whoTF does he think he is?
Now would be a good time to contact game publishers that use this "technology" and let them know how you feel about the matter.
Oil and the trouble-some source of where we buy it (Middle East) is a BIG problem. I'm tired of dealing with that part of the world because we are so dependent on oil. I'm dependent on it too and I'd gladly trade in my SUV and sports car for something that ran on a compeltely alternative (hybrids still need gas) source of fuel, hydrogen perhaps?
How much $$ are we spending on the war?
Oil is the root of a lot of problems today, and this country and the world itself, needs to find another source of consumer energy.
I'd risk driving around with a nuclear reactor in my car if I didn't have to hear about the Middle East anymore.
If Apple promotes Darwinism (fish with legs eating your "natural" fish)... then why would their logo be based on something biblical in nature? If they are true Darwinists, they wouldn't give a rat's ass about your apple reference to "the Fall".
I found your post very humerous and I realize it was in jest, but if your gonna act like a religious zelot, atleast try to make sense looking like one.:-)
The quote was mentioned out of context Here is the real quote:
"The desire has been around forever. It's almost like the Holy Grail of data storage," said Michael Cherry, an analyst at market researcher Directions on Microsoft.
The MS VP did not say that WinFS was the "holy grail". Someone else described "the vision of a single storage system that would break down barriers between applications and serve up stored information quickly and accurately" as being a "holy grail".
As cool as IMAX is, it makes for the worst movie watching experience ever. I'm sure most cinemaphiles will agree: that screen is tooo freaking big. What is the point of watching a movie on a screen when you can only focus on maybe 25% of the screen at one time. You have to constantly traverse the image field of that screen to see what the hell is going on. Wayy to much movement to enjoy 'watching' something. That, and the film is cropped from original aspect ratio to fit that screen which is nowhere near 1:2.35 or 1:1.8 (typical AR's for most movies today)
I was lucky enough to get a patent on this whizbang technology called "bipedal locomotion" Odds are you probably haven't heard of it but, odds are that you are using it. Please send royalty fees to the following address:

This was already discovered in the movie Predator 2, we didn't need science to back up a well known fact already.
The screen will probably be the biggest selling point of the device. That much resolution is going to be absolutely gorgeous.
I quite liked it. Rivals the original (#1) as my favorite. Would definitely see a sequel.
The best part is you already have seen the sequel.

So Balmer says IBM doesn't innovate anymore?
/.
Hmmm... check out a couple posts down on
Something about nanotubes and stuff... hardly innovation.

"believes that the first disks could be on the shelves between 2010 and 2015"
Won't we have 1TB on our keychains by then??
C'mon man... invent something now.
Friends don't let friends do bad math:
24M / 74K = ~324.
24000000 / 74000 = ~$324/NIC
guess they weren't buying Netgear cards at that price... ouch!
with 3000 suckers paying $200 for a guided tour each year
+1 for the Seinfeld ref.

Lets email the contacts listed on the patent:
Bret Paul Anderson
Kelly Elizabeth Rollin
Daniel J. Shapiro
Can someone find those addresses?
And lets ask them how they can sleep at night attempting to patent something like this?
There is a huge flaw in your resoning:

just my
24 was not shown in HD. Fox does not broadcast HD yet, their widescreen shows are 480p. Which is still better than NTSC.
Well,
I know what I'll be doing when I get to work today. Just my additional 2 cents to this marvelous addition to Google.
come to you in full NTSC quality
Isn't this a contradiction in terms?
