But I seriously like the looks of the Matisse GUI builder (as far as what I saw on the link to the demo). I used Netbeans a few years ago, and it was kinda' sluggish back then (don't know about now). I haven't done anything in java since then, but I am considering trying this out just for fun.
Spyware is like a double edged sword for me. I hate the problems it causes in general, but a significant portion of my income results from removing it.
What's really bad is even after warning my customers to be careful about downloading free stuff, and attempting to get them to use Firefox, etc., I am still called back in a couple of weeks for the same problems by the same people.
I buy the bulk of my parts from monarch computer, since they are located in my home state [local pickup for unpatient folks like me] and have pretty good prices, and the rest from newegg.:-)
Spybot S&D also has an integrated BHO tool which will allow you to toggle a selected object as enabled or disabled, or remove it entirely. I have been using it for quite a while (though I don't bank online), and it seems to work pretty well.
What if there really are big diamonds like in The Core? It would be odd seeing a forklift wheeling out the back room of the jeweler's bearing a single engagement ring.
Indeed, old RPG payroll programs would have generated a lot of anger and confusion on paypay in my area, as a lot of the plants and factories still use AS/400's...
Soekris has an interesting board that is said to be optimized for use as a wireless router(Model net4526)
I imagine it would fit in to a project such as this quite easily, and it has pretty low power consumption. But, at 133 Mhz and 128 Mbytes of RAM, it's not as powerful.
Unfortunately, the recent bombardment of lawsuits in the world of technology makes me think that money is indeed all that matters. I hope your company accepts those ideas you are bringing forth. Freedom just ain't what it used to be.
I am not old and grungy, either. I am 25 and have been licensed for several years. And emergency personnel already have access to ham radio.

I would take a picture of myself laughing and send that back in reply to be honest.
Ah, nostalgia. Tandy 1000 TX here. I still have it stored away, and now I wonder if it still boots up.
Yeah, beans make me bloated too. :)

Is quite fun, and should run on your machines if Warcraft III works.
It gets pretty addictive, so be careful. And it's free, both to download and play.

Be wary of the poetry, Mr. Dent.
Is something like this what you are looking for?
It is rack mounted, but it would be easier than to carry a monitor, keyboard, and KVM seperately.
Why should the city care?
Bellsouth (or southern bell a long time ago) had a monopoly on phone service in the south for years, and now is trying the same with broadband.
I put on my robe and wizard hat... :-)
May 1983 - All hail Bob!! :-)
I didn't know the church of the subgenius went back that far, though.. very interesting stuff.

Could be useful, like digital warchalking if you will. Just get one of those PDA's with a built-in phone, and go at it.

I was checking my mail just a couple of days ago, and actually noticed spam coming from one of my own accounts (the one I use on web forms and such).
Indeed, old RPG payroll programs would have generated a lot of anger and confusion on paypay in my area, as a lot of the plants and factories still use AS/400's...
Slackware rocks! I have been meaning to try X-org, so I guess this is as good a time as any.
YEAH! And C3p0 would have been in the parts bin by now without R2D2.
I did not realize that spammers took themselves this seriously. And spam-gangs? What is this world(wide web) coming to?
I wonder if this is related to this T-Shirt?
Ah, I fully agree with your point, I was just pointing out that the one they built in the article was faster.
