    Yeah, beans make me bloated too. :)

    But I seriously like the looks of the Matisse GUI builder (as far as what I saw on the link to the demo). I used Netbeans a few years ago, and it was kinda' sluggish back then (don't know about now). I haven't done anything in java since then, but I am considering trying this out just for fun.

    Spyware is like a double edged sword for me. I hate the problems it causes in general, but a significant portion of my income results from removing it.

    What's really bad is even after warning my customers to be careful about downloading free stuff, and attempting to get them to use Firefox, etc., I am still called back in a couple of weeks for the same problems by the same people.

    It is rack mounted, but it would be easier than to carry a monitor, keyboard, and KVM seperately.

    I buy the bulk of my parts from monarch computer, since they are located in my home state [local pickup for unpatient folks like me] and have pretty good prices, and the rest from newegg. :-)

    Spybot S&D also has an integrated BHO tool which will allow you to toggle a selected object as enabled or disabled, or remove it entirely. I have been using it for quite a while (though I don't bank online), and it seems to work pretty well.

    Indeed, old RPG payroll programs would have generated a lot of anger and confusion on paypay in my area, as a lot of the plants and factories still use AS/400's...

    Soekris has an interesting board that is said to be optimized for use as a wireless router(Model net4526)
    I imagine it would fit in to a project such as this quite easily, and it has pretty low power consumption.
    But, at 133 Mhz and 128 Mbytes of RAM, it's not as powerful.
