yes, but my guess is that they don't want to apply this to the AO games, its the M games (GTA et al...) that they're gonna throw this on. there are very few games that get an AO. The major chains don't even carry them. Usually if a game's gonna get that rating, they'll just bypass the ESRB anyway.
its not about having more space for the games, its about sony getting its standard for the next-gen DVD spec into a ginormous number of homes through the PS3. why buy a HD-DVD player when you can watch Blu-Ray disks on your PS3!
right, while more people might spend more on games than they spend on movies in theaters, there's a lot more to the movie industry than simply what's in theaters.
I once sent my startac (back when those were still awesome) through the washing machine and dryer. It still worked too, battery was kinda mishapen though.
well, I got the game for christmas, so the $50 was paid by somebody else. Also, buying the box gets you a free month,s o its only th $50 for another month. Beyond that, its $15 a month, which is about the same as a trip to the movies. The way I figure it, without WoW, I'd have bought 3-4 other games over the past 8 months. At lets say $30 each, since they'd range from $20-$50, that's $90-$120 which is less than I've spent on the subscription. For me at least, it works out to $50 every 3 months, or $15 each month. The fact that I'm still hopelessly addicted to WoW, doesn't hurt things either.
I think that if you want to take the trouble you can extract out the torrent file and just use whatever, but I'm really not sure. Anyway, I think also part of the origial poster's problem was that they weren't grabbing the patches on a patch day, so there are fewer people for them to grab it from.
Also, you can usually find the patches off of I believe file planet(The usefulness of whic I won't get into), just as a normal download. I can see that if you're not getting it on a patch day, the blizz downloader sucking ass.
yeah, I've gotten a couple of these CDs from friends at IU and they're full versions of Windows/Office. And XP doesn't have activation, at least I don't think it did.
Because what is slashdot but mental masturbation for those that know they are right and can't be proved otherwise? I'd apply this to both sides of the fence. There are those that realize it doesn't matter either way, they just don't post on slashdot.
depends on how well people go for the intel ones. there could be a big market for g5s and high end g4s on people that need the native ppc instruction. I don't know how large a market that will be(probably about like the one for macs that can run OS 9 is now) but I'd imagine that it exists.
nah, I'd say the publisher just didn't give them enough cash to pimp it. I work at one, and few weeks before episode 3 came out there was a big thing at midnight where they were releasing all the ep3 toys. They'd be advertising it on the in store radio for a couple weeks before that, and it got the store manager in there at midnight on a saturday to make sure everything got out like it was supposed to. I'm curious as to what it'll be like come this weekend. There hasn't been the pimpage for this book as that, there's a thing at the service desk for pre orders, and that's pretty much it. The one I work at is in the middle of no where which I'm sure has something to do with it, but there is a marked difference between the two.
Really? I always thought that the fact that if they did go nuclear, there wouldn't be enough left of either side to say they "won". I'm not saying the UN hasn't done other things, but saying it is soley responsible for the cold war esclating isn't quite right.
yeah, I bet the grandparent played/plays final fantasy 11. that's what your character class was called in that game. there's a few members of my guild in WoW that makes slips like that.
1. Ask some random person who AMD is. Then intel. If they know either, I'd say they're more likely to know intel.
2. Yes.
3. It is? I don't see how it would be good or bad.
Yeah, I'd imagine that they'll just forget that the "Power"Mac came about when they switched to PPC. When the iBook came out steve mentioned that their professional products are "power" while the consumer stuff is "i" so, I'd say that'll be their reasoning.
I'd imagine that people will listen to their ipod at lower volume levels with headphones. I know that when I use my itrip, the volume must be turned up high, and thusly the battery life while listening in my car is cut by probably 25%.
A full cycle is putting 100% of capacity into the battery. So if you discharge down to 50% and charge back up twice, that's a full cycle. Apple has a page on batteries which explains this. I'd link if I wasn't lazy.
cause its ONLINE!
yes, but there was also a mechanism in place that restricted access to that violent media.

zul gurub, the new battle ground...

wait, so if you stand still half the time you're harder to catch? right...

probably, but they usually do this when their new engine has been out for a while, and doom 3 shipped a year ago.

yes, but its a modified version that limits your download speed. It blows.

say yay for fact checking :)
I believe the minimum requirements for Doom 3 on the mac are a g5 or dual g4s, so I doubt it.
