no, because I can choose to encode my legal music in WMA, thus unless it is specifically the DRM stuff in the file that is causing the extra battery dranage, it is possible for legally purchased music to take the extra battery life. WMA != napster and the like
actually they released dr. mario and puzzle attack(sans pokemon) for the gba. I think it was the gba, might have been the DS but I'm pretty sure it was for the gba.
And now that I think about it, I guess Word was running on Rosetta. Holy shit! I didn't even notice.
Nope, when they announced the switch Apple said that Office has been a universal binary for a while. There were a couple other apps that had been universal for a while, but I do remember Office being one.
because instead of these aggrigation servises, each box on teh intarweb will be able to have its own address, and thus you'll be able to connect to them all individually. I think that P2P and skype and the like are more than just programs that say connect to that person over there, but it does allow for the removal of an extra layer of abstraction. Whether or not one would want that layer gone is another question.
true, but do you really think it wouldn't devolve into a bunch of assholes ranting about how much they haet BUhs!!1!!1eleven. I'm all for constructive discussion, but I'd imagine that the signal to noise ratio of something like this would be astronomical.
Its that much? I thought about picking it up when I got the game last december, but then realized that almost everything in it is going to eventually change in some way. so I didn't.
Pornography is made with the express intent to be spank material, and they don't even bother sending a copy to the MPAA for a rating. When was the last time someone was arrested for selling a minor a ticket to or a copy of a movie the MPAA gave an NC-17 rating, let alone an R?
When was the last time a theater got fined for letting a kid into a R or NC-17 rated movie? The main point of people that say this isn't the sky falling down is that the games industry has been too inept to enforce the rating system they have. Thus, the government is stepping in. No, this is not how it should be, but until the games industry is willing to create their own mechanisms for controling such things, the government is going to.
what I think is most interesting about this upgrade cycle are the print ads that MS has, with the dinosaurs saying "perhaps we should upgrade our Office 97" not nearly as subtle as I'd have expected them to be.
I'd argue that once you get to the Raid-level content of WoW, its not casual entertainment. My guild can muster and enter one of the raid instances in less than 30 minutes, this is after 2 months of doing them every week, at the same time. That level of organization + the time involved w/ the actual instaces, I think would move it beyond the casual player.
exactly

add launching halo 3 a week before the PS3 does and you've got what I'd do too :)

no, because then all the people within it would escape and we'd have to deal with them. This way they all stay there and we know how to avoid them.
portability. This way you can get your widgets on whichever platform you're using, even if its not your normal one.
too bad the lameness filter doesn't correct you when you botch the joke. Its Leeroy Jenkins.
I'd imagine that a lot of teenagers would also like to see people's naughty bits on film as well.
yes, when I got an isight I had to switch back to ichat. ichat's ok, but I'm a skin whore and love changing the themes.
AO has boobies, M does not...
yes, but how is that massively multiplayer?

my guess would be more infections there
and red. Unless its supposed to be "sweat" instead of blood.

yes, but if you went and called and got your dog and/or niece a card, that wouldn't make it legal would it?
yeah, until all the cybernetic octogenerians decide to TAKE OVER THE WORLD
by that logic itunes shouldn't rip CDs cause you can buy them on the music store.

babbages and software etc. were absorbed by Gamestop some time ago.
Because windows costs $200 and linux does not.
