I agree with both of you, it really sucks having a dead pixel, but it's a pain not to get one. But if I'm paying full price for a LCD I want it to be flawless, if you aren't going to make sure there are no pixels, then sell it a bit less then the price of one without flawed pixels?\
They are coming down in price a lot, but they are still expensive. A good LCD costs more then the whole PC I have it on, if I'm paying that money, I want no dead pixels.
Do people really have problems finding patchs for games? Just do a google search if you don't know the games website. I can't think of a game I had any problem with finding a noncracked patch for.
I could always install games on as many pc's as I wanted to, some games even let me play more then one copy. I could even install them on my laptop that didn't have internetaccess.
Nice being able to stream the game and all, but what about when my internet goes down and I decide I want to pull this game from the shelves and kill some time?
Last point is good, except for me who had tons of problems with halflife 1 cd key.
That's my opinion on it. Whine about piracy? Make a game that doesn't suck. If you're game does suck, make it a budget title. Tons of games out there would have pissed me off at $50 but didn't bother me at $20.
You ever bought a game that promised the world and delivered a bag of dog $hit? Ever trid to return said game?
I'm surprised no one has gone back and remade it, or touched it up.(Atleast what I've heard)
I never got the wearing headphones thing. I mainly play Xbox with a nice surround system, and I can't see headphones beating a good surround system?
Sequels almost always blow compared to the first game. I never played the first one until after I played IW. I enjoyed the second one quite a bit myself. (I played it on Xbox though, so can't argue with you're gripes aobut the pc)It was a sweet game on Xbox. People always expect a sequel to blow you away compared to the first one, which is almost never the case.
Play the game as just a regular game and you might actually enjoy it./shrug
You say by attacking Iraq he is stemming off terrorism before it happens or at the early stages? Despite very very very weak links to terrorism, when there are other nations out there with direct links to it?
Or how about finishing up in the little country known as Afghanistan before getting us into another mess? Or atleast using it as the excuse to go in there in the first place? Have we found any WMD's or terrorists that were a threat to us and there beforehand?
You should be more scared that it passed 98-0, since IT WASN'T READ. Go and try to find out how many congressmen actually read it before voting for it. It's something like a thousand pages of legalspeak and it was released like 3 hours before it was voted on?...
Nice assuming that he wanted the rich taxed 91.5.
You could not tax the person who makes 10,000 a year and then tax the one who makes 100,000 30%(Which btw is what I pay now and I don't make 100,000)
So the government ends up with the same amount, the poor has his 10k, and the more wealthy has 70k. This is just a quick example, And ever consider the fact that the guy making 100,000/yr might not be doing work of more value then the one earning 10,000/yr? How do you say which is more important?
My mother is a social worker and makes quite a bit under 40k a year.
My father a policeman makes about 28k a year.
My brother is self employed, and does not have to work, makes in excess of 400k a year.
I'm a computer operator and I make about 40k a year.
So, who's work is of the most value there? Can you guess who pays the higher % in tax? I can tell you it's not the guy who can't spend his money fast enough. Explain how this is fair?
A couple warheads is enough to kill 200,000 people? Are these 200,000 going to inject the sarin into their bloodstream, not to mention doesn't sarin have a bit of a shelflife.
The sarin attacks in Japan killed 150,000 right? I mean that was a pretty nice spot for a chemical attack...
I actually work for a company that runs the Lottery system for a state and I must say MUSL is crazy about security. I can't get into specifics, but in my opinion they go completely overboard on some rules, which can only be good. Working with MUSL I certainly would trust them with our elections.
Same with my grandfather, only it was the last week of his life. He had no idea who anyone or anything was, and his body just pretty much rotted, and they had to keep him so pumped up on morphine that he wasn't even conscious more then a couple minutes a day. I'm all for keeping people alive if they are actually alive, but just keeping someones body alive isn't cool in my book.
What about if that one game is the only game you like for 4 months? You just paid $120 for it. What if you're DSL goes down, or you move? You're paying for something you can't use. what if they go belly up?
I'm a current player on Hindemith and do like it. Although there is a huge problem with Chinese players farming and selling adena, everyone is of the impression they need the best gear available right away. It's level grind is also horrid, it's hard work after the 40's, but I still enjoy it. The castle sieges are absolutely great, as are some of the big battles. Although the karma system needs a huge overhaul, which I think is fixed in the next huge patch.(Not going purple when you attack a red, it's lame) And the expansions are free.
Syndicate was such a cool game. Nobody I knew heard of it until they came over and saw me playing it. I really wish a new one would come out. I spent so many hours on that game, and at the time I only paid $20 for it. Not many other games have given me the play for what I paid.
Kotor was absolutely fantastic. I can hardly wait for the second one, and Jade Empire. Bioware is probably one of my favorite developers next to team ninja.
Sudeki just recently came out and the reviews have been so-so, my friend can't put it down though. I'm definately going to pick it up after I finish with Doom 3, I just hope it's as good as I wanted it to be.
I had the same problem, almost does it 90% on my laptop(2.4ghz, 700somemegs of ram, radeon 7500) and about 50% the time on my desktop(2.2ghz 1gig ram, radeoh 9600) I gave up on it awhile ago, and almost do xbox live exclusive. I hope they work on steam before they release HL2. This was a few months ago by the way, I haven't cared to try it recently
Makes me curious if I'm breaking the law if once in awhile I take my projector out at night and project it against the garage. March larger picture then I get in my house, and something fun about sitting in lawn chairs with a cooler of beer and watching your garage.
So say I'm doing this, it's usualy a few friends, and a fairly non busy street, but I have seen neighbors get home and what not and stand outside staring for a bit. Not that I'm goign to stop or anything...
I had something similar happen to me. Unfortunately my paypal account knew my checking account.
I had ordered a Xbox, and a few other things, the xbox was supposed to be brand new. I get it, it's refurbished and non working. None of the other stuff I ordered was with it. Contacted paypal and they said tuff luck, because he had sent something, even though it wasn't what I ordered. And when my credit card bounced the charges I found that money had been taken out of my account. It was a whole lot of bullshit, and I hate paypal. Unfortunately everybody uses it, so I have a dummy account with only a few bucks.
Lovely that they promise credit card like protection, when they don't.
L2 is all about the high level sieging. I was recently in a huge pitched PvP battle in Cruma tower, was atleast 45 people between two guilds. It reminded me of the rush the first time killing those dragons on EQ.
L2 is the first I believe that won't ever charge for an expansion, and damn the first expansion was very nicely done. And the second one just entered beta in Korea and that is just jaw dropping.
All MMO's have the level grind, it's when that level grind is at an end what there is to do.

Dude, what?
You should do a more indepth study on this. I volunteer to be guinea pig, for free.

Hi, it's 2004, people don't raise their own kids anymore. Get with the program!
Anyway good to hear someone actually cares about their family....It's amazing how people think that second SUV is better then raising their child...
That's my opinion on it. Whine about piracy? Make a game that doesn't suck. If you're game does suck, make it a budget title. He sure did come out against the Swift votes, very quietly and after the desired effect was already in place.

I don't think they were really trying to point where Kansas was with their middle finger...

I'll do it for $50 US money, and a bottle of Jack.
