"The best defense is a good offense" is just a trite saying - it's not handed down from God or anything, you know.
Except that in this case, it's true. The only way to find flaws in Comm systems is to reverse engineer them, IE hack into them, unless you have source code.
On the other hand, professional military people are inherently biased toward offense, not merely because of their training, but because they tend to be aggressive people by nature
Speak for yourself. The military isn't only ground pounding soldiers anymore.
I agree! Because we could all use more refined 20 minute animated TV shows in our lives. Imagine the possibilities if we got the animators of Family Guy together with the writers of Frasier. Patend Pending Copyright Trademark 2005.. Sucker
I'm not sure if you can do this in windows or linux, but in OSX you can have your keyboard mapped to dvorak-qwerty where if you hold ctrl or alt, the keyboard reverts back to qwerty for just that reason.
My friend had a Nomad. He dropped it from 3 feet and it broke the hard disk. Of course I couldn't help taking my ipod over there, plugging it into his stereo and dropping it from 3 feet as it doesn't skip.
Only problem is, slashdot didn't do anything wrong. They linked to the site, which is perfectly legal (last I checked anyway). They may have indirectly had something to do with excess traffic, but that's the risk a site like opera.com is taking when they put a server on the internet that's incapable of handling the actual load of the internet.
A ton of these old computers could run linux just fine. I know I would've been much better off learning linux all through school, so wouldn't it be great to take these old PCs, install linux on them, and THEN donate them to schools? The linux community would have a higher percentage of the PC userbase, the schools would get free computers, and everybody would be happy(except maybe microsoft, but I think they'll b. fine with their $40 odd billion;) ).
IMO, this is a non-issue anymore with the prices of desktop pc's being so low. If you need a portable, you invest in a PORTABLE machine, not an all-in-one slightly smaller form factor desktop. I payed $1500 for my ibook, and if I feel like playing games I'll spend the ~$400 it's gonna cost to set up a fair desktop gaming system. Am I missing something here?

that's why I never used it.

If nobody complains about anything they won't improve it. Or they will try and only make the game worse? I dunno, constructive criticism?
I don't know about you but as I'm getting older I'm starting to realize that I'm not as much of a nerd as I used to be. Just me? ok..
I can relate. The iPod I have is an original 5gig that I bought second hand.

How would one go about muxing radio, ip, tv and voice over one line without throwing it all onto the ip network?
only because it's compatible with IDE drives. IDE drives are much cheaper than scsi drives.
is it in an ugly beige box or is it in an ugly biege box with holes in it and bright blue lights?

I know this is off topic, but how do you dual boot windows and OSX?
Should I even reply? XServe comes with scsi raid on a pci expansion card.
RAIDless, SCSIless
is there a (-1, misinformed)?
Phoenix is a mock-up of Chimera ;)
Of course, I missed the point of playing games on the road. Doh

Microsoft? Open Source? Blasphemy!
I installed freedos on an old (and I mean old) zenith 486 just a few weeks ago before the thing took a crap. It installed fine and even ran qbasic.
