Who cares if they know that MAC address X was at location Y?
If it's the MAC address of my smartphone, which I'm likely to carry around with me more or less all the time, I care a lot about who knows where that MAC address has been. While Googles rather idiotic behaviour just (may have) recorded, where said MAC address was at one point in time, the statement above is, in its broadness, quite a bit more than I would like to have to stomach.
It's not like there's a database linking MAC address to people.
yet. It's not like nobody could ever come up with that smart idea.
What's more interesting: The count of crashes or the count of "stuff working as expected"? With 5/11 crashes, the glass is not only "half empty", the other half is red wine spilled all over the tablecloth. And that's a bitch to get rid of.
Dear US military!
Please be so kind as to include german speaking countries, especially Austria, in your oh so earnest puppet shows. I hope your sock puppets operate during normal US business hours which would mean I'll get a couple of great laughs with breakfast.
Thank you.
BTW: Why bother, just use Fox news and Google translate.
I don't really see much of a difference between the JAL page und delta.com, united.com or lufthansa.de. And the page of the ministry of health isn't looking too crowded either. Neither is the third one, but I couldn't figure out how to switch that one to English (still, ebay.com seems just as stuffed). The japanese versions of the pages look like a crowded mess, but that's rather because I can't deal with the characters. Switch to english and you should be fine.
There's always the question, how long the APIs will remain open. They can disappear any time at the retailers wish and you're stuck with your development effort. I'd be wary.
Here's some required reading if you are contemplating this. Most importantly:
5. Services Limitations. The Services provided by Pathway Genomics are solely for research and educational purposes and uses. Although based on scientific research, the Services, including all information about genetic findings and probabilities, have not been fully validated and shall not be relied upon by you or any other person to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease or health condition. You should consult with a physician or other appropriate health care professional regarding the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of any disease or health condition.
Emphasis mine. I knew that'd be in there along with point 13 (the indemnity clause).
What's the problem? Of course decisions based on genetic testing should be taken only after consulting a doctor. That actually should be written in big letters on the packaging.
we have lots of people who carry the electrons for us. they collect them, put them in buckets and dump'em into the phone booth. no problem. most of the time, we just have the kids do that, as they seem to serve no other sensible purpose. how do you do it?
As far as I know, they're actually not allowed to give up the phone booths. Telekom Austria is the former state monopoly and they're obliged to maintain certain services even though they may not be lucrative anymore. (Just as the Postal Service has been forbidden to close certain Post Offices lest the density become too low: Some retirements pensions are actually still paid through the Post Offices and you don't want old people to have to travel for hours to get their money.) So upgrading an existing infrastructure that has to be maintained to offer additional services doesn't seem like too stupid an idea.
If I break a leg, I get crutches (if necessary)[1]. After I don't need them anymore, I have to give them back or pay for them. Same thing for the wii -> problem solved.
[1] In Austria. YMMV
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0194278/ is quite an interesting documentary about the power plant and its surroundings. and not one of these "ohmygodit'sallsoterriblewon'tsomebodythinkofthechldren"-ones either.
If the people use whichever version of FF is on the CD just to access the banks website, they should be fine. As long as the bank doesn't include any exploits on their website (ahm, wait...).
I suppose that mailing a CD to your customers once a year would be fine.
So that'll be Joe_NoFacebooknoPlus Smith? No Facebook, No Plus? Nice title for Bob 'in Moms basement' Marley.

prove it in court.
Slackware, as far as I know, uses a vanilla kernel as well.
and is still working fine.
...they'll become great cryptographers once they start texting in rot13 so mom can't spy on them.
Am I the only one who read 'Nuts' instead of 'Nuns'?
It's an idiotic/automatic translation. The village is called Frauenkirchen. Frau means woman/lady/wife, Kirche means church.
sic transit gloria mundi.

Ethanol fuel is for combustion engines, not for oral ingestion.
Relax.

Precedent doesn't matter in german law.
Swords to plowshares!
that's only because of the black eggs.
black eggs, blue balls, everything's getting so complicated.

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=77D52F871CE00818 seems to be it, but it's mostly in ukrainian (russian?) with german subtitles (which is the original and cool for me, but may not be the horse gods preferred language), and it may be available here http://www.geyrhalterfilm.com/jart/projects/geyrhalterfilm/main.jart?rel=en
amazon seems also to know about it http://www.amazon.de/Pripyat/dp/B000E0VLDG/qid=1270756189
sorry, that's all I could find at the moment. greetings, clem
