Ah, GIMP on Windows has "Copy to Clipboard" and "Paste from Clipboard", you can actually make it use the Windows clipboard if you want it to. GIMP 1.2.5, for me, used to clear it after being pasted (for some reason?) but GIMP 2 didn't the last I knew.
Something about it just doesn't look right, and that bright blue screen is rather suspicious. I don't know, if I was her, when it gets closer to my head, I'd kind of step and lean back, you know? I guess she doesn't mind two little whirling blades coming close to her forehead.
I noticed when it goes midair all of a sudden, it's lower than the level her hand was. I guess that could be understandable, but..
Ha! G4 already has their "Arena" show, with competitive gaming.. uh.. I don't watch sports, and I think I'd rather watch them than competitive gaming.
At least the little bits of "competitive gaming" TechTV had on some of their shows, it was just talking to one of the people, showing the game for a moment. It wasn't an entire tv show.
Yeah, the way of the floppy and CRT, as in "I'll probably still be using them"
I have a computer that could possibly meet the minimum requirements for Doom 3, yet I still have a CRT monitor and a floppy drive. For that matter, I also have a working 5" floppy drive on this computer.. (I wanted to get back some old DOS games)
I figure I'll still be using typical hard drives in ten years.. But who knows.
It was boring, the parts I attempted to read. It just didn't.. I don't know, make sense, even in a funny way? (Yes yes, I get it, 0wnership, joke paper.)
Spam should be the same way. Or like this: One central spam website. All spammers could post their crap there, rather than sending email to people. If someone wants to see 100+ advertisements for products a day, they could visit the central spam site. Easy as that.
Quest? I don't think I've heard of it.. Let me guess, the storyline is like this: Rather than a weakling, you start as Quake, the most powerful man in the lands! 256 color VGA graphics, er.. I guess if it was like that, it would mean they're scrapping the medieval style and doing another Quake;)
I've played and finished Link to the Past, and I finished Zelda II as well. No, you're not the only person in the world/on slashdot that liked Zelda II. I like it, I enjoy its combat system, hah.
These GBA "rereleases" are kind of overpriced at $19.99, but there are always people who've never seen or experienced the games before, and they would be "new" to them.
Yeah, and if you don't want someone to chop your head off with an axe, wear a metal collar. It doesn't mean axe murderers should be allowed to chop your head off, does it?
(And not everyone else can use encryption. Many can't be bothered. Many are automated emails, mailing lists, business, etc.)
What do you want to bet it'll confuse some real programs with hard coded paths, too? I bet there are some programs that use MS Office out there, which expect it to be in \Program Files\Microsoft Office\..
Music Industry: Oh! But you only paid for a license for a tape quality version of the music! No, wait, you paid for the tape itself (at a nice markup for us)! No, wait, you paid for.. Well, just give us your money and you can have nice CD quality versions of those songs.
I believe it was on The Learning Channel (or Discovery), one show they had was about a woman who was practicing for a luge. The luge went up too high and she hit her head on part of the track. After that, she had seizures sometimes.. I guess her brainwaves were somehow messed up. Anyways, using a game in which there were three rockets, with her only control being her brain, she had to make one rocket go forward but not the other two. It helped her train her brain to use certain waves more. It eventually stopped her seizures. (I think. I might be misremembering something here, or forgetting some detail.)
My mom doesn't want to use Mozilla, because clicking and holding the mouse button over the scroll buttons (the "up" and "down" ones) is too slow. And it is slow compared to IE or really old Netscape. She also refuses to scroll in other manners (mouse wheel, drag the bar around all the time, arrow keys). Does anyone know any way to speed up Mozilla's button scrolling, short of downloading and editing the source?;)
I've used Modplug Tracker (Windows) for years, to create.it files. It can also load mod files, s3m, it, xm, midi files, and some other mod variants (mtm, okt, mdl, 669, far, psm, and others I've missed). (As far as I remember, you can also edit and re-save mod/s3m/xm back to their original format)
The ladies may not find you handsome, but they should at least find you have a handy amount of slashdotisms memorized. (In Soviet Russia, I for one welcome our beowulf clusterlords)
No, it looks like it's going to be a combination of G4 and TechTV. Just, at this point, apparently without a single TechTV staff person left over. Just some of the shows. I don't understand why they would can the entire staff..

Well hello to you, Mister Walken!
You must've seen a different video than I did.. I don't see anything that resembles a guy above it. It still looks a bit fake, however...

Couldn't they generate an image and use an ALT attribute of, say, "somebody, at sign, somewhere.com"?

Or if you prefer Mozilla over Firefox, don't install the extra features. Use the net installer and don't even download the extra features.
Mod parent up.
I've never even considered something like that before.
It's called SDL and it's cross platform. ;)
Haven't you ever heard of golems?
Just get a lich or some master dwarves or something, I'm sure one of them will make a computer golem for you.

It's another "free as in beer" one.
The same here. There's just SOMETHING about that narrator's voice, auughhhh. (Otherwise, I might've actually tried watching Robot Wars)
