    It is a good thing that popup stopper isn't enabled by default. There are some sites (like my online homework) whose necessary popups are blocked by mozilla's popup blocker (haven't tested it on konq). I know how to toggle it, and I do love it, but it would be a bad idea to have people swear at linux (yes, linux, not konq or mozilla or kde, linux) because it doesn't pop a damn window up. It's not hard to turn it on, but joe sevenpack isn't going to debug stuff he's just trying out. "It doesn't work."

    All programs that antialias should include a simple method for disabling it, or you are going to annoy some of your users.
    All programs should listen to the system setting and not bother you in the first place.

    I think you just listed the reasons why this won't be used as a unique ID. Who'd want to spend money implementing a system that would track people by their tires when they'll have such a poor accuracy?

    IANAL, but the court would probably go easy on them if they didn't do real damage. If you set up a box as a lure, it will only hurt your case. Your company's computer though, that's a different story. You might want to set up an actual business and leave your server open, but then you might lose some customers (helps your case, but hurts your possibly profitable business). Heck, it's probably not worth it.

    Oh, so not having a religion automatically makes you a bad person? Religion is just prepackaged prejudices (aka 'values') that everyone of the said religion shares. That does not, however, mean that people who don't want the package can't get the contents some other way.

    One solution is to distribute a package of packages. So if you need library x as a dependency, just include it in your main package. The install procedure would install/upgrade x if needed, and leave it alone if not needed. It wouldn't change the source/build procedure any, just the final packaging.
