    Windows users would use this just because, and Linux users would use this for the symbolism.
    Until microsoft figuers out how to make sure that only people who use microsoft products can succesfully use this TP.

    Or, in make xconfig, you could put a skull and cross bones, and then a picture of a pirate in the description. But then people might get it confused with a module that automagically goes and gets new mp3s for you.

    I think that that would be 2 or 4 WIRES, which would be 1 or 2 connections. That is even worse, and I doubt that the phone company would pull another line just to allow you to use another computer online.

    You could have a new version of SMTP, maybe called SMTP2 that would refuse connections from an SMTP1 server. That would cause most people to change rather quickly, and might even be workable.

    Something like IP, otoh, would be best if the new version could coexist with the old version.

    Oh, wow. you had better patent that, since I know that there is a large market out for something that would convert sound into energy, with a corresponding loss in amplitude of the sound.

    And, not just for the family of a teenage girl, how about on noisy machinery, or the neighbors of someone who likes to play their music too loud.

    If you mounted such a sensor directly to the wheels, where there is a more constant vibration, then you may be able to power that sensor.

    I really hope that Red Hat drops the Unified desktop for RH 9.
    what is the point of using another window manager, if the interface is **EXACTLY** the same. This doesn't even consider the quality of their interface, which is ok.
    They also offer 0 customization on their interface, which is really annoying.

    For now at least, I will stick SSHing into my PS2, and then using everything in text mode.

    Versions of DVD editions? Well, which is better? Matrix 3.1, Matrix 4.0, which is also Matrix NT? Or maybe Matrix 98, or Matrix 98 SE. Better Stay away from Matrix ME. How about Matrix 2.2.3.5.6? If we keep buying every edition of every movie that producers make, then they definitly are going to keep making more versions. Matrix 2.2.3.5.7, with the scraps of footage that we got of this tape drive, anyone?

    Now, if they port it to Linux/Mac OS X (I say Linux because I'll just recompile it).

    If they release it open source, then you could just modify it to not run the distributed instructions when you get music. Another thing you could possibly do is to limmit the amount of CPU that this program gets. I don't know how big these issues are, but if someone did not want to donate computer resources, then open source would make that easy.
    Although I am with you, as I would recompile it for PS2 (MIPS), and run it there.

    Show me a drive that can achieve 3 gigabytes/sec and I'll ... show you a RAID array. Multiple drives on the same channel, or on the same driver, will fill up any bandwidth limit, if you had enough drives. Maybe it is a connector to an external RAID cabnet. Imagine a beowolf cluster... Plenty of data transmission.

    This is great. A consumer device with an OLED display. One of many technologies to counter our lack of significant innovation in batteries. I think that one of the best places for an OLED display is a pda. I hope one is out by the time that my NR-70's batteries die. Neither Handspring or Sony sell replacement batteries, which means that the PDA is a throw-away item, even if I can take out the battery by my self...

    Tandy TRS-80 Model 100: .2 seconds Battery life : about a week of 2 hours a day on a set of 4 AAs. The first notebook, and they are having trouble beating it.
