    Yeah, but car companies are far more willing to put their cars in a game where they don't get damaged. EA has a virtual monopoly on damaging licensed cars. Lamborguini, Ferrari, etc GT doesn't even cary those brands. GTA would have to be toned down way too far for there to be any chance of a company putting their car in there.

    56k Holy cow!! That is fast. I live up in the mountains, and the best I get is 28.8. 56k would be an improvement. No, it is not the modem, it is the copper. Everyone always says "I will give you my 56k", but it is not all about what I have on my end. The cables matter, right?

    At my work, my bos is collecting all of the junk faxes he gets, and someting he is going to take all of these to small claims court. This is great for a precident to be set against an online junk emailer. The problem is identification, though.

    I have only used VI, because that is what my Playstation 2 had. Now I just need to learn MIPS assembly, and then work with the other 3 processors. hmm.

    Yeah. My mom does that. I told her not to do file manipulation through the "Open" dialog of word, so she deleted a file there and said that she was just using the application, not browsing the hard drive...

    he means insulating as in: does not conduct electricity. If they did not want heat transfer in a transformer, they would use air: cheap, does not conduct heat or electricity.

    The hottest area of a Pentium is the encoder/decoder, so they get the heat per area of that few square nm. Imagine if the whole processor emitted as much heat per area as the sun... and then a beowolf cluster... well, that would be one was to aid global warming.

    Yeah, except that HP calculators are way too slow for their own good. Now if they used a good 10 mHz M68000, instead of a 4mHz saturn processor. I may be quicker to type in stuff, but the computation is long enough that it doesn't matter, so I will just stick with my TI-89, thank you very much. The Casio FX 2.0 is almost as good, but it even has a gui, with pictures. Let's see your HP do that.

    Also known as no network access. Power might be an issue, but I don't know of a virusses spread by power line, but to be safe, you should use a generator, in a Lyden cage, but don't for get the aluminum foil cap, and underwear.

    Have you looked at the PS2 linux kit? I have Xmms running on my ps2 right now, and far from being a hack, it is only advailable directly from sony. There is the problem of not many **source code** programs supporting a MIPS processor. Mozilla had the best error- "Could not guess the host type".

    For automated, have the browser come with an EXPLICIT list of what sites MAY install software, then to get added to the list, you have to talk to the makers of the browser. This would not help much for IE, but for browsers such a mozilla, that would probably fik this.
