I think Steve has been asleep for the past decade or so, here a few services that we spend 99% of our time on and don't own:
Ebay
Paypal
Webmail
Webdisk / Webstorage
Photobucket et al
YouTube
Facebook, myspace et al
Netflix
We don't own squat...
Facebook like many websites social or otherwise, became famous out of necessity. The product it delivers is outstanding no doubt, if you haven't seen the movie you should, true it has many inaccuracies but it makes you realize what people are really after, online.
The fakeness is a perception, the website is really massive and will only get bigger. JMHO.
I was watching the broadcast live, very exciting indeed. The description of the events sounded like it was real-time when in fact there is a delay, however they react and comment based on the transmission they received, I did head something curious "we would steer Curiosity if..." which is impossible, they can't steer, curiosity steers itself mainly because of the delay.
I dumpted TV three years ago, I have a TV screen on which I play NetFlix or other services, I watch what I want, not what the mainstream media wants me to watch. NetFlix has a very nice variety of foreign films, comedies and documentaries. No commercials, I stop and resume when I want, who needs a DVR??
If you are writing an article about this, you need to get some training from human resources otherwise you will get yourself in real trouble, even if you think you are doing the right thing or saying the right words. In essence, men and women interact differently with each other, HR will say that gender is not relevant, that sex jokes should not be told regardless of gender, but the truth on the ground is different. So take a trip to your HR department, if you don't have one, grab a book.
I think you would be disappointed, the broadcast video would arrive in HD, perfect colors, video and sound, would look too much like a sci-fi film, people would believe this landing even less.
Tablets as they are today are not and will never be reaching devices, they are media devices, period. A true teaching devices is one that has a monochrome screen and a blinking cursor.
In theory your fed reserve note comment makes sense, in reality it would be impossible to implement now, not only the mass population uses those notes, the rest of the world does as well.
This behavior is typical of human species, they gather somewhere (myspace), then get bored, go elsewhere (facebook), get bored again and go somewhere unusual (google+) and then go back to see what happened to their friends (myspace) and the cycle re-starts again....
What is this compatibility thing all about anyway? Who cares? Most people who use word processors don't upgrade their software or OS to that matter. People don't upgrade, they buy a new PC with a newly installed OS.
That's my opinion and observations.
Considering the explosive population growth in developing countries, I say that's a very bad sign for PC manufacturing and a good sign for handheld devices manufacturers.
A similar fate awaits other social network websites, sooner than later. Social networking websites are like malls that after a few years start having a stinky smell, you know those malls you've seen them and been there.
I never understood the security behind key-less entry systems, anything electronic security can be broken into, although the BMW system has been hacked, I'm pretty sure that others will follow soon.
I hope he's not referring to Steve Job's passing, there any many young minds that are ready to move forward. Microsoft has established itself as a follower, a buggy one if I may add. They should first establish themselves as a stable software developer then we can talk, and I don't even own ANY Apple products.
So now we need a government department to let people that there is an outbreak? What happened to people? Does every aspect of our lives rely on someone else? come on people! It's an outbreak! Pay attention!
So the Government can confiscate & delete but not the people, nooooww I get it...

So if I don't play farmville I'm a suspect?

powerful and x86 are oxymorons. Try the i860 architecture now THAT's a processor, it's ancient I know.
Ban buckyballs but not jaw-breakers?

So when you rub your hands together, it's air compression that is causing heat?
Nope it's a power cable - ZAP! Power cables should in fact look like POWER cable. Power has no business disguising itself as USB especially at home!

I would like to know if the confirmation of the existence of the Higgs boson changed anything we know about the Higgs field. Thank you.
There's a homeless man in my neighborhood, he pushes a cart, lives in people's garages (don't ask...) and carries a laptop.

Well at least the air gets thicker with heat so that should help planes take off easier, that's if they can get out of the spongy holes.

Let me take this opportunity to ask you to please update CRON to allow per second frequency. Thank you!
