I search for a file every few months since my files are categorized, and I easily find them by browsing. What exactly is wrong with the current desktop search tools like the one found in Windows Explorer that makes these companies create alternatives?
I only read online news. First, I get to read news for free since I don't have to buy the paper, but more importantly, I save time. For example, on CNN or any other news channel, they'll announce a story that you really want to hear as "coming up after the brake." After the brake, they'll go to something else, then something else, and so on. It will take 30-40 minutes before one sees that story. 24 news channels talk a lot with saying nothing, and you also have to see a ton of commercials. Online I can read the story, hear the story, and view the story wihouth having to wait on them and their commercials.
The article states the problem NASA is facing: "Under the agency's old way of doing business, officials decided what they wanted built, asked private companies to bid on building it, then awarded a contract to the lower acceptable bidder - who often was located in an important Congressional district."
I hope that there is still an honest man in Congress that would push for them to pass a bill to allow NASA to do this.

This is what happens when you see employees as robots in the cubicle. If you want your employees to stay put, even if the competitor will pay more money, make your employees interact with each other. Make them all feel like a part of a big family. Make them feel needed. Make them feel like army budies feel. They won't trade those bonds for a little more $.
No, I do not need to do more reasearch. I'm aware aware what Delphi 2005 supports. What about C++Builder, Mobile Studio, Kylix, JBuilder, other Java IDEs, CodeWright, etc.? Like I said, they have a ton of IDEs with overlaping functionality.
One thing that annoys me about Borland is that they have a bunch of IDEs that overlap. They should unite all of them and have a single IDE similar to how Microsoft has Visual Studio that supports many languages. If you were to buy a bunch of this IDEs to support multiple programmers who want to use their religious language, the price will be higher than Visual Studio, which comes with the same languages except Pascal and Sun's Java.
How about this? Mr. Geek develops a telephone with a database of telephone numbers that he wants to accept. Any number that is not on that list is blocked. Basically, it opens and closes the line, so the marketer won't keep the line busy. This should work with Caller ID.
This is just a tactic to get revenue. This law suit is very late, they should have done that at that time. Also, they don't own WordPerfect anymore. I'd expect Corel to sue them.
This is great news. However, we all know that the X-Prize works based on donations. I hope that they still have money for daily operations and for future pricez. The X-CUP will require a lot more money than the X-Prize. However, I'm sure that corporations will turn the white space crafts into race cars (full with ads), which should pay for most of the expenses. The SpaceShipOne has the Virgin logo on it.
I wish that every software company would put optimization first and features second. This way, we would not have to buy computers every few years. They can potentially last much longer.
They should have got rid of it as soon as it got off the assembly line. The Shuttle Programme was supposed to create an inexpensive, safe, and reusable rocket. Unfortunatly, they got ripped off. Not only that it is not safe, but it is also highly expensive. And if it explodes/implodes, it is not reusable.
I think that it is irresponsible for them to put Windows on warships and ATMs. They should use an operating system designed for that specific purpose based on something like vxWorks. They shot themselves in the foot. I wonder how long before ATMs start to spit money left and right all of a sudden. Someone might be able to use a wireless device that tells the Windows ATM to spit money.
I guess it is good to be back. Now, they must get used to Earth again. I wonder if the 4 hours of exercise per day they must do in orbit is enough for them to walk on Earth without feeling exausted.
1) Clone the iPod interface
2) Add support for all formats
3) Longer lasting accumulator (more than 18 months)
4) Cheaper than the iPod
5) Longer custommer support
Oooh Farscape! Why doesn't John get married to that alien already so we can have the series end. They keep dragging it and dragging it. It's like a soap opera in space. It's freakin annoying. But I must admit, they do have some sexy Australian/New Zealand aliens on that show.
I can't wait to see the first accident with that bike. CNN is reporting that "the Microsoft Board of Directors have been ran over by a semi during a meeting on how to destroy Linux. Police are searching for the hit and run driver. According to witnesses, the culprit was a penguin.
If it can be listened to, it can be copied. There is no way around that.

It is beautiful, yet it is ugly. Who would want a rusty looking thing around?

If he was smart, he would use Goggle ads. Those are the best ads because they are unintrusive, and AdBlock can't block those.
DoubleClick, you can't pass my Firefox's AdBlock! No clicks for you. Muuuuhahhahahahha!

The music on those mp3s might be sound of a sniper cocking his riffle. Do you remember Phone-Booth?

I gurantee you that MPEG4 as XVID/DIVX (more XVID than DIVX) is an industry standard in the P2P World.
