    Many people have bitched about the controls on windows applications not using the KDE/Gnome themes. If I was to create this type of middleware application, I would have looked into a way to make this windows apps draw the controls with the linux gui theme. Installing an application that works on wine, does not prove anything.

    Indeed. The good networks like Gnutella2, EDonkey2000 have hashes. You can flood the networks all you want. You can't flood fake files that pass the hash. The ip address of the flooder is going to be shitlisted.

    There was this benchmark in the Dr. Dobbs magazine one or two years ago and gcc was always at the bottom. The 7.1 version of the compiler is standards compliant and very fast. The c++ compiler has been in the .NET Framework SDK, but not the optimized version that comes with Visual C++. The STL does not come with it.

    is that they only care about money, not how great the product will be. Release Longhorn in 2008-2010 with all the features proposed. They are going to add a little bit of crap, charge $300, than 2 years later, they are gonna add a little more crap and charge $300. It sucks. It is their own fauld that Longhorn has been pushed back for not securing their products 10 years ago. Why should consumers have to pay for it in time and $600?
