Just like you said, making it a status symbol makes it cool to own an electric vehicle. I think that makes it worth it. No, people like me can't afford the current Teslas, but now many yokels would consider it where they wouldn't in the past.
I don't have any of those things, because I'm not a tool. I don't waste money on upgrading things that don't need upgrading. Don't blame tech companies for your own weakness, take some damn responsibility.
I invented a cheaper machine. It doesn't need to scan your brain, it just needs to know your age. If you're under thirty, it will guess yes and be right most of the time.
Who says there aren't lots of dead stars outside of our observable universe? I've also heard theories that universes (or pockets of matter in a much bigger mostly empty universe) can spontaneously appear seemingly out of nothing. There's a lot we don't know about time yet as well.
This is so insulting. Didn't we all as a society agree that actors in blackface is racist and offensive? Why is putting a man in carface any different?
Why do they make such a big deal about being able to hide the fact that they're working on video? Who cares? Is that really a big trade secret that their competitors are going to act on? Develop it in the clear! Let people know it's what you're working on!
My opinion is that the devs are under immense pressure to live up to the hype, which of course is compounded by their rabid fanbase. Half Life 2 being leaked to the public early was probably a huge blow to morale. That being said, I also get the desire to wanting to live up to the original hype of Half Life 2. Half Life 2 was a pretty big revolution in game quality of the time. I think they'd prefer the next Half Life to be a big game changer like this. If a Half Life 3 is ever to get made, I'd put my money on it being a VR game of some sort.
I thought this too when buying cheap TVs with built-in DVD players that I never intend on using (at least one never even worked, don't care). These TVs take 5 times as long as my other regular dumb TV to actually show a picture, it's obnoxious.
That being said, I have a bigger LG dumb TV because I love my smaller LG dumb TV and how fast it turns on. This big one takes 3x as long to show a picture.
I won't claim that the U.S. is a fascist dictatorship, but your pointing at another country torturing people and executing civilians without a proper trial isn't really a good example, don't you think?
I know this isn't really an answer, but the answer is that they play dirty. Makes me think more and more that at some point at my life I'll scream the words "You'll never take me alive!"
This just means the Occulus sucks and/or people don't trust Facebook. It seems even Facebook users don't trust Facebook. This says nothing about the Vive which is the superior VR experience & equipment.
This is Skype and Microsoft we're talking about. The very first thing Microsoft did when they bought Skype was to change it to make it worse. They threw away the P2P functionality that gave users better privacy than other programs.
We have to pass the API to find out what's in it!

God does of course, you heathen! Just kidding, you make a good point.

You've cracked the case! These are excellent questions!
The answer to all of the above is Russia.
Oh... the answer that I came to was America. Except for the radioactive part of course.
Pence wants to start an AIDS epidemic there as well.
I can't believe nobody is stating the other obvious here: you shouldn't try to get rich by imitating Bill Gates because it's illegal.
Inexcusable? Watch me excuse it: He's friggin' young and Swedish, he only picked up the word from gaming with young Americans.
Property, you keep saying that word.

Why would Microsoft do that to the poor kid?
I have an open mind, so explain yourself. Do you disagree that the United States tortures prisoners and kills civilians?

Yeah? Well my company 3D printed a usable pistol! Nyah!
Have you seen pictures of this guy? He's the Indian BABABOOEY!
What about dogs? Very rarely are guns found on dogs after they're shot.

Won't somebody think of the lizards?!
