So that means you only get to "own" it for the 6 months before your windows tanks and you have to reinstall? Even less if you haven't reinstalled in a while, I suppose.
I've seen that happen with multiple banking sites. I saw some site a few weeks ago that wouldn't let me view it using Firefox because it "required" ie or netscape, wtf?!?!
That's actually a good idea. How about they add a Linux Firefox or KDE Firefox while they're at it? I'm sick of having to use GNOME Firefox because it's the only one available.
Yeah, GMail sure is good. This Image Labeler isn't going to work though, at least not if everyone joins me in putting in "tits, boobs, porn, lesbians, hawt" as labels for all the images!
That's too easy, the answer is none. On the other hand people clearly need development environments to make computer programs. The question really should be, "Which vi is best?"
They'd better hope people will put up with ads, because the only other option is to make the sensible business decision of not spending more on development than they can hope to make back from their rather limited target market. People sure as hell aren't going to pay much over $50 for a game, though I think in the next few years most people will give in and be paying $60 for games without thinking too much about it.
He knows because someone is buying this, and there isn't even anything worth playing on it. At least PS3 will play a few hundred good PS2 games.

So a film that's made to make a point can't have credibility? Just because someone is making a point doesn't mean they're not right.
You also mistakenly seem to think that there are always two, and exactly two, equal sides to any issue. Here's a free lesson, that kind of thinking is a tool of those polarizing our society. Often there are many more sides than two or one side is batshit insane and the other is reality.
I'm curious what you think are some documentaries that aren't trying to "sell" you on something (everyone must already be sold, huh?) or what the point of such a thing would be if it did exist.
It's especially ridiculous since it's pretty clear we ARE causing it and the fix is a) simple and b) cheap to implement relative to the cost of continuing as we are, damage to the planet not even considered.
I'm actually pretty unimpressed with the performance of Xara LX. The rendering speed isn't anything like the videos they have of Xara Xtreme that boast about being a thousand times faster than Illustrator or whatever. In fact I end up waiting around for quiet a while whenever I change the zoom level as it redraws all the parts.
Hopefully they'll get there by 1.0, but I think to claim that it's "professional grade" at this point is a bit laughable.
As is your claim about the "graphics capabilities" of Linux, you know the platform that the majority of feature film effects are done on, troll.
No, science just makes religion irrelevent. If you need to have a "personal savior" or some magic fairy in the sky watching over you to sleep at night, that's fine. But it doesn't belong in public policy or really anything else. Religion doesn't tell us anything about the way things are or the way they "should" be. At best it lets people avoid taking responsibility for their actions, both harmful and helpful.
Who cares if you have to be told if you don't have a choice about it? Don't want to let your insurance company read the data your car is record? Too bad, no insurance for you. Don't want a car without a recorder? Too bad, there aren't any without it to buy. But oh it's ok because you were told it was onboard!
The five years of data statement, since you seem to be unable to comprehend what you read, is referencing that these requirements to inform car buyers that their new vehicle will be spying on them don't take effect for 5 years. Until that time car manufacturers are perfectly free to install these things without notifying you.
Of course as I already said, it doesn't matter since by then you won't be able to buy a new car that doesn't have one. So the only options are to disable it (probably voids your warranty and likely will be illegal by 2011), continue to drive increasingly old cars as your previous one dies, or not drive at all.
A "business man" has to do something extraordinary to get any respect from me. Most of them are just greedy assholes who care more about money than they do about people.
You're still stuck paying whatever price the online stores collude to, and it'll probably still be apple's drm and if not it'll be microsoft's. I don't see where the "free" market is here, even assuming that such a thing would be good in the first place.
But you're running a bit outdated version there. The update notifier let me know that Opera 90.1 is now available, so you should probably upgrade from that ancient Opera 9.
Isn't it true if you have your user agent set to Opera? I haven't used Gmail in Opera in a while, but last time I did it was the basic HTML if set to Opera and the standard version if set to something "supported," though the browser's back function seemed to have problems that usually led to Gmail getting stuck at the loading screen when I used it.
This was a while ago, so maybe that isn't true anymore.
I don't think it's a called a rootkit when it's integrated with the operating environment.
Yeah, can't have competition for the "official" half-assed games.

Stop encouraging them! We've already got enough people here deciding that they like make believe better than reality without your help.

I'd fight Gandhi.

How come you can't hate both? Worst argument ever. You fail.
So shouldn't there be a discount on getting only part of the game instead of a price hike on getting all of it?
Sweet, just three more years till she's legal! *puts on his robe and Slackware hat*
