Well some of the dates are wrong, (some of the stuff is stuff i achieved years ago and it says i did last month it says i got the journal entry achievement 2-20-2009 when I last posted a journal entry about 4 or 5 years ago) This actually looks pretty cool and i wouldn't mind keeping this. Just DONT make a first post achievement, we have enough people trying to get that already.:P
Now if this happened in Zimbabwe, Locals would take the notes for use as toilet paper, as the value of their money as paper is more than their face value.
actually the patents for the 486 have already expired, and most of the ones for the Pentium chip expire in late 2009 or early 2010. It still puts nvidia behind the other CPU makers though (the last patents for the p6 architecture, which is what the core duo's are based on expires in 2012) They wouldn't be able to use some of the latest instruction sets though (SSE, MMX, etc) . Its quite possible however that they are aiming for the portable and/or embedded market, and not for performance CPU's (Netbooks, cell phones, game consoles) I wouldn't be surprised to see Nvidia releasing a netbook powered by their own i586 level architecture CPU in early 2010.
Its called Antarctica. The politicians there are wonderful because they have no jurisdiction there! Plus its so cold any hot air that comes out of them freezes in seconds!

So until the LHC becomes active, if there is the chance it will destroy the earth, no matter how slight, does that mean until its active the world is both destroyed and not destroyed? (AKA the cat in the box)
at least its better than the 1.44MB floppies, with the 1.44 being an unholy combination of base 10 and base 2 using base 2 for bytes to KB and base 10 for KB to MB. *shudders*
RTFA. it only charges you on days you actually use it. You can use it once or twice a month and only pay a small amount, but still be able to have it for when you want it. they have weekly and monthly rates too if you want that. (less than $20 for a week, less than $40 for a month)
Ironicly using Igoogle, clicking on this article and only this article brings up a google error. Had to actually visit slashdot to get to it. Coincidence or nefarious plot?
Well i went to the site and changed http to https, and it brought up the page on an encrypted connection. looks like they aren't forcing you to submit it in the open after all.
well the downtown area of my city banned riding bikes in the center of downtown during the day. (until 6pm)(making commuting through the center of downtown on a bike impossible, unless you are willing to walk the bike through the area (about 1/2 a mile) or catch a bus and use its bike rack.
so the plan is to announce that we are drilling there, then not do it! We get the best of both worlds then! We could even fake all the drilling stuff, and when environmentalists go and find something there / protect at the drill sites, we tell them everything with the drilling is underground now.

Do in-store exchanges count towards my BLOCKBUSTER Online® membership plan?
On a linked page they have another answer that completely contradicts the answer linked in the article.
Do in-store exchanges count towards my BLOCKBUSTER Online® membership plan?
Free in-store movie rentals are in addition to the number of DVDs allowed out by your BLOCKBUSTER Online® membership plan.
one says they count against you, one says they dont and are an additional perk. They cant decide apparently. Im glad I have netflix instead.
It works fine on firefox, and has for about a month with the silverlight plugin. It may even be usable on linux soon when moonlight 2.0 comes out.

At work whenever a telemarketer calls, we switch the sound system over to a cd of "Never gonna give you up" and put the phone next to a speaker.
