Integrating OOo into KDE will be awesome, it will provide for greater consistency between applications, and there will simply be one less reason for people to complain about all the inconsistent GUI toolkits on Linux.
Now, all we need is a rewrite of Mozilla in Qt...:)
Not really, it's pretty chaotic. I took a first-year Earth Sciences course at my university, there were charts of pole reversals over time. Sometimes they happen quite frequently, sometimes it takes bloody forever.
It's most likely to be a horde of Zombie windows boxes, which were taken over by a Linux sympathizer. It absolutely makes no difference what platform they used to make the attack, only that the attacker likes Linux more than SCO.
At any rate, the attacks are not necessary and harm our image more than they harm SCO's servers. To whoever is doing the attacks: Please stop, we don't need your "help". SCO is about to be smacked down in court big time, they are doing just fine destroying themselves on their own.
At the end of the day, I cannot think of a single website that uses IE specific DHTML in a way that makes me yearn for support for it in Moz. The last IE only website I encountered was the Egg online bank one. Their insistence that I hadn't got a recognised browser simply means I got a credit card from somewhere else (Sainsburys as it happens).
Yeah, I hate it when that kind of thing happens. A while ago, I was looking to buy something, but instead of visiting a ton of different stores, I thought I'd do my price shopping on the websites, and *then* simply visit the store that had the lowest price.
I generally disable cookies, except for a few sites that need it (ie, my bank, and slashdot). One website I visited said "I'm sorry, but your browser is not compatible with cookies!" and they refused to let me even see a price listing until I enabled cookies for their site. I thought to myself, "I'm sorry, but your company is not compatible with my business", and I moved on to the next website.
I see the occaisional sign that refers to an ATM as an ABM, but every time I see it I think it's weird, and I don't actually know anybody who calls them ABMs in casual conversation.
Cell phone jamming should be legalized, and it should become more widespread.
I'd specifically like to see cell-phones jammed in movie theaters, and schools. I'm pretty good about shutting my phone off when I go to these places, but sometimes I forget, and sometimes when I forget, I get calls... it'd be a whole lot easier if the building disabled the phone for me, so I don't have to.
Can't even find a seller in canada at the moment though.
I saw one at Futureshop the other day, but I don't remember the price.
At any rate, I'm waiting for somebody to buy my old minidisc player, and for the 40GB model to be released (so that the prices fall), before I buy this. But I think I will buy it:)
One thing is certain though, with Debian, Gentoo and now the FSF being exploited in the same month, the open source/free software community is clearly under attack.
While it can be somewhat distressing, these attacks can only make us stronger.
It's kinda sad, really. I mean, we're just a big happy group of people who write code for the fun of it, and then share it with everybody else. We're a decent bunch. What did we do to deserve all this hostility?

What about the Monorail in Disneyland? Is that not a MagLev?
Matrix v0.1b, anyone?
If this is the beta, what was the alpha?
I wish nobody wore clothes...
Some more than others.
Our code has to compile clean on Redhat and solaris, AND lint clean
You lucky shit! Our code had to compile on Windows!
Is it so hard to give a link instead of a broken string?
Clicky, clicky
there _is_ a cycle

Just get a cell phone, and don't worry about the wiring. Wireless router too, then you don't have to worry about the cat5 for your local network :)
it could be a Mac user. Right?

Well, what if you were an amputee and didn't have any fingers at all? They'd have to find some other biometric for you to use.

You missed.
my UID is logarithmically smaller than yours
:)
Haven't you heard? Size matters!
My UID is very, very large.
According to this, KDE 3.2 final was slated for release today... instead, we get 3.2... BETA 2!
Gah.

:)
I don't think that dilution and pollution are the same thing. After all, the Solution to Pollution is Dilution.
[or ABMs as they are called in Canada]

That's what you think! I don't HAVE a wife, OR a brother!

Q: How many Californians does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: Californians don't screw in lightbulbs, they screw in hottubs.
That's the ASCAP (I swear I'm not making that up -- it stands for American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).
Don't forget their sister organization, BUTPLUG.
Considering the majority of /. readers are male, chances are you'd need to do quite a bit of modification
It's been done.

Is it possible to get this in a format that doesn't suck?
:)
It'd be great if somebody could convert it to mpeg and repost it
