The fact is that in TOT, there were 3 known Jedi prior to Luke and 2 Sith. Even at a padawan skill level, Luke could have kicked some butt. There was no competition.

As to the final confrontation between Vader and Luke, who is to say the emperor wasn't manipulating Vader to keep the duel equal. A Sith master might have feared Vader's power. Vader did turn on his old master in ANH. A Sith master playing 2 off on each other...the Sith way.

What are you complaining about? A MUD admin decided to keep others from spying on your code without your permission? A MUD admin decided to prevent you from peeking at solutions to every quest and from learning the wc of every weapon, the ac of every armour, the location of every magic item?

If you are a talented coder, exactly what files are you going to need to see? You should have access to the base libraries already. If you do not know how to do something, ask a more experienced coder to help you or spend time actually reading the documentation.

Any well run MUD is going to have a policy on code ownership. YOU choose to join the ranks. If the MUD doesn't have a clear policy on code ownership or you disagree with it, then leave.

Blockbuster is only responding to the Netflix phenomenon. The "No late fees" program from Blockbuster is really not that different than Netflix' program.

It says right there in the billing agreement for Netflix "... we are permitted to bill you ... movies you fail to return ..."

Now, a check of Blockbuster's own website gives you their terms.

The terms seem pretty clear to me. If I return a movie up to 7 days late, I will not be charged a late fee. If I return it 8 days late, I pay a $1.25 restock fee as if I returned a movie I didn't like.
